Dallas Preston West Heidelberg Broadmeadows I am seeking your support to get the messages out to the communities in these suburbs to get tested. The testing stations are below. It is really important that we get tested, and that the people with positive cases provide full information of their whereabouts for contact tracing purposes. Please also let us know if there are additional supports for the members. We need to make sure they are supported. Key Messages Any residents of Dallas, Roxburgh Park, Broadmeadows, Preston and West Heidelberg who are experiencing symptoms are urged to be tested for coronavirus. Coronavirus (COVID-19) is an illness that has affected all communities in Victoria. Anybody can get coronavirus (COVID-19) if they have contact with a person. Testing sites have been set up at various locations. To find one near you visit https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/where-get-tested-covid-19 What are the symptoms of coronavirus? If you have any of the symptoms, however mild, you should get tested. An online self-assessment tool is available. The symptoms to watch out for are: Loss or change in sense of smell or taste Fever Chills or sweats Cough Sore throat Shortness of breath Runny nose In certain circumstances headache, muscle soreness, stuffy nose, nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea may also be considered. Where you can get tested Children aged five years and over can be tested at a pop-up testing location. Children under five years can get tested at hospital respiratory clinics and GP respiratory clinics. Testing is free. The following pop up testing locations have been opened in this area and are open every day 1. Banyule Community Health, West Heidelberg, from 10am to 4pm; 2. Northland Shopping Centre, from Monday 19 to Sunday 25 October, from 9am to 5pm; and 3. Roxburgh Park Youth and Recreation Centre, from 9am to 12:30pm and 1pm to 5pm. Information about getting tested Getting tested helps keep your family and community safe. The coronavirus (COVID-19) test is free for everyone. The testing clinic does not need to know your visa status. If you are worried about losing income while you wait for your test results, you may be eligible for a $450 payment. If you test positive or are a close contact of a confirmed case, you may be eligible for a $1,500 payment.
