Research information from Christine (TALGA) I have retreated to my library of research information and papers to reacquaint myself with nature’s remedies and properties that might prove useful in the current health crisis. I found research from the University of Western Sydney and The Australian Tea Tree Oil Research Institute, [January 1997] who published some very useful information following a study into Legionnaire’s di...sease - a form of pneumonia, which can prove fatal. The Legionella bacteria is commonly spread through inhalation of small droplets of water, usually emanating from poorly maintained air-conditioning systems. In-vitro trials conducted by these bodies, indicated that in concentrations as low as 0.1% pharmaceutical grade tea tree oil kills this bacteria. Whilst this study was specific to Legionnaire’s disease there appears a similarity in transmission, through moisture and vapor, to that of COVID-19. This new virus exists outside of the body and is transmitted through respiratory droplets, [a sneeze, cough, tears etc], when released into the air, they can be inhaled or fall onto the ground or a surface, and remain active.
