Presentations on the night were made to Bessie Dear (record at the Annual Meet) and to the six helpers who were amazing at the Somerset Annual Meet the weekend before - Ella, Elise, Kaelyn, Tristan, Koby and Millie. A big thank you goes to these helpers as the day would not have run so smoothly without.

04.01.2022 The Somerset Swim Meet to be held on Saturday 10 October at Somerset has had an overwhelming response and interest. The Meet has now reached its cap and is no longer accepting entries. 03.01.2022 Club Night 2 for the 2020/2021 season was held on Friday 30 October and there was another strong attendance. The night featured some excellent swimming and also a modified and (hopefully) improved self marshalling system. Our Club Night coordinator John Cimini marshalled willing parents who did a great job in helping make the night run smoothly and with more parent learning and becoming involved, the Club will be in a better place moving forward as we look to host more events in the future. Thank you to all those that helped on the night. Happy Swimming

01.01.2022 The seventh Club night of the season was held on Friday night with over 50 swimmers competing including members from the National and High Performance Squads. It was great to see the older swimmers race and then join in with the younger swimmers for a relay following their events. Some great racing then followed under some recently installed new lighting. Well done to the competitors and as always a big thank you to the volunteer parents who assisted on the night. Just one more Club night on 15 March to round out the Summer Club night season.

01.01.2022 Somerset Swim Club was extremely lucky to have Chloe McCardel, world record holder marathon swimmer, talk to members last night. Chloe was inspirational, giving those that attended a deeper insight into marathon swimming. For our swimmers, Chloe had many great messages and tips about the importance of having a positive mindset, overcoming adversity and race preparation. Thank you Chloe and good luck on your next big swim.
