24.01.2022 Hello Friends and members In the coming weeks I will be emailing out details to our AGM via Sports TG. As you can imagine with the current situation in Victoria, we have decided to make it via video link due to current COVID restrictions. The date will be set shortly but we anticipate it being late September. As per our Constitution, all Committee Spots will be made vacant and be up for re-election at the conclusion of our AGM. Nomination forms will also be sent out electron...ically with the details to the AGM and we encourage anyone that would love to become a part of the club and its future to complete and send it back to [email protected]. 17.01.2022 Good Morning Friends and members ITS COMPETITION TIME!!!! Junior Player Trick shot... Times are tough at the moment, the kids are bored and home schooling is getting to us all. what better way to get the kids in the back yard but to try and win some of the awesome prizes up for grabs. What we are asking for is the best video of your little (or Big) superstars at your home showing off their skills. Whether it be kicking it into a barrel from the top of your driveway, to an elaborate deflection of multiple surfaces into a basketball ring off a left foot kick, we want to see your trick shots. Ok so here are the rules. 1. Video must be of a current or future (u9s next year) player of the Somerville Junior Football Club conducting the trick shot. Parent and sibling participation is allowed but the kick or handpass must come from the player. 2. Must be conducted at your home and can include any part of your yard. The trickier the better! 3. Must start with either a handpass or a kick 4. Encouraged to wear Sommie colours while performing spectacular trick shot, understandable if they are in the wash from wearing them so much though. 5. Have fun and stay safe!! Whats up for Grabs: 1st prize fully paid for registration for the 2021 season for 1 player 2nd prize merch pack consisting of Hoodie, shorts, singlet and shirt 3rd prize Sherrin football (signed by the president of the SJFC!! Just kidding, no signature on the ball) Smaller prizes may be awarded for videos that inspire, make us laugh etc. Simply record the video and head to our Facebook page to upload, posts will be reviewed then placed on the wall for all of us to marvel at your slick skills. 07.01.2022 Good afternoon all friends and members As we continue to shut the club down for the season and say goodbye to Football in 2020, the committee would like to thank all our fantastic Coaches, Team mangers and volunteers within each team, especially the new COVID officers. This season was somewhat short lived and a little more stressful with the global pandemic going on, but we genuinely gave it a shot and without our coaches and officials in each team, we would not have got so ...far. Everything about each and every age group we had, looked so promising this season and you all had done a wonderful job with the groups, conducting preseason camps, recruiting from other leagues and clubs and building each team to a force to be reckoned with. Unfortunately you were unable to show off your hard work come game time. Thank you for all the effort in this broken season, enjoy some time off with the family, stay safe and hopefully we see that coaches application across our desk for the 2021 season.

We do need to have all refunds settled no later than Friday 7th August. If you would like your childs registration refunded please be in contact to Jodie, [email protected] ASAP. ...
