Thank you to all my beautiful customers who have been so patient with me being slow to respond to messages this week I stupidly also chose this week to wean my daughter and to say it has been HELL would be an understatement At this stage I won't be taking any more bookings for October OR November- December will be limited due to family commitments. 19.01.2022 This morning I have received a call that was pretty disappointing as a small business owner. It was a pretty nasty call actually, where I wasn't given a chance to defend myself whatsoever. So to set the record straight: -if you enquire about a cake that does NOT mean that it is booked -a cake is not booked until a deposit has been paid OR an invoice has been generated ... -it is not my job to chase enquiries. If you want to book your cake, you can't leave it till 3 days before you'd like it to confirm you actually want it. My weekends are booked weeks in advance! I consider myself a good person. I try to help where I can- even when that means squeezing in last minute cakes for people who have left it till the last minute and sacrificing time with my own family. I spend most weekends in and out of the house to accommodate the pick up times that suit my customers. Never once have I had a complaint, only grateful customers who return time again because they appreciate the effort I go to and HOW ACCOMODATING I am. So today has been a real slap in the face. From now on, I will only be accepting orders via Facebook or instagram message- NO phone calls. If you haven't paid a deposit, you haven't ordered a cake.
