24.01.2022 Dear Valued Customers For those of you struggling to find a non-disposable face mask during these challenging times, do not despair! We have plenty at the restaurant, all hand sewn by one of our good friends and co-workers along with her very skilled mother. They are $10 each (cash only as it is not part of our business) and they come in a range of colours and sizes to suit everyone. Stay healthy and we hope to see you at Sommai Thai soon.

17.01.2022 To all our valued clientele, Firstly from all of us here at Sommai Thai we want to say a very big thank you to everyone in The Hills for your support in purchasing takeaway from us during the lockdown period. Now, we are all excited that with the easing of restrictions this week we can welcome back patrons who wish to dine in. However to comply with Government restrictions we are only permitted to house 8 persons at any one time, with a maximum of 6 per table, this figure exc...ludes those waiting to collect their takeaway order. So to accommodate as many reservations as possible we are running two sittings, the first of which will start from 5pm, ending at 715pm and the next sitting will be from 730pm to 930pm. The other exciting news is that Tanya is going to offer a mouthwatering home style Thai delicacies banquet with many of the dishes not featuring on our current menu. The cost for the banquet is $50 per head and that includes a selection of entrees, plenty of mains and desert. The banquet is for a minimum of 4 patrons and needs to be booked at least 48 hours in advance. Lastly, we remind everyone to keep phoning those takeaway orders as you have been, especially those who miss out on dining in due to the limited numbers. Thank you

15.01.2022 Dear Customers, It is with a very heavy heart and great sadness that today we learnt of the passing of one of our much loved and valued customers, David Paxton. Some of you may not have known or spoken to him personally but you will have seen him, always in a freshly pressed crisp shirt, suit jacket and pants, an array of his own wine glasses to accompany his wines which were always of the highest quality. He was always willing to share his wines too with us and fellow patron...s, not to mention his extensive knowledge, a true sommelier in disguise! His sudden passing is a real shock to us all and he will be dearly missed at Sommai Thai. David’s support of not only our restaurant but to all small businesses in Tecoma and surrounds was the definition of the word loyal. 13.01.2022 Dear Valued Customers, In the wake of the latest Government restrictions put in place requiring restaurants to stop their dine-in trade indefinitely please note that Sommai Thai is still open as per normal for take-away trade and at this stage we will continue with our normal days of operation with slightly shortened hours from 5 pm to 8.30 pm. Of course the situation surrounding COVID-19 is so fluid that tighter restrictions may need to be put in place but for now we will c...ontinue bringing the taste of Thailand to Tecoma through take-away. These certainly are unprecedented, incredibly tough times for everyone around the world and now is the time we need the local community to continue to support small business so they can survive and prosper into the future.
