Presented by Songlines and delivered by Candice Lorrae from the 'The Merindas' this one-on-one mentoring program is for First Nations Women and gender non confirming musicians based in Victoria to develop their skills in the use of music production. Applicants will build skills in composition and production. This will include deconstructing and constructing musical layers and elements to create a song, soundscape or demos. Live audio recording, midi u...se and sampling will be covered. By the end of the sessions, each applicant will gain enough production skills to start practicing and building their very own archives of beats and sample packs. This program is available to 5 participants, each for 3 x 60 minute sessions via Zoom. The program will be facilitated by Sound of the Future owner and Ableton Certified Instructor Davey Norris aka Dizz1. The sessions will be tailored to participant needs which may include - Mixing vocals - Performing Live with Ableton Live - Drum Editing - Sound design - Mastering. 5 Applicants will be selected that meet criteria as follows - Have some level of knowledge of use of Ableton or similar program - Have access to a laptop or Desktop computer which is compatible with Ableton use - Are a First Nations Musician based in Victoria Supported by @creative_vic @vmdo__ @musicvictoria
