25.01.2022 ' ? Laura is one of my clients, an entrepreneur and owner of three businesses in Perth. She was working long hours out of her back pocket with plenty of space to grow her clientele but her customers couldn't find her website online. This was because her business was like a tumbleweed in the desert, she could not be found online by her ideal clients. Everyone wants to stand out amongst their competitor...s, but too many remain invisible online! Harvard Business Review explains that 'capturing a dominant share of a market is likely to mean enjoying the highest profits of any of the companies serving that market'. To be able to capture your market, you need to be findable online. The start of capturing your audience is through making sure your website is updated regularly. Marie Forleo said "success doesn't come from what you do occasionally. It comes from what you do consistently". When you are trying to update your website, consider these steps. 1) Make sure your marketing is counting towards something and track all incoming traffic via Google Analytics (GA). 2) See where your traffic is coming from, as your organic traffic needs to be in the top position. _______________________ If your organic traffic isn't in the top position and you want to get ahead in leading the pack, please reach out to me. #thesearchqueen #searchonfire #themarketingrepubliq

24.01.2022 ? I had a client come to me and with an existing Google Ads campaign running for many years. The ad copy had was never updated, and the same creative was running for display and remarketing. I changed up the creative and tried different variations' to test what was working with the audience. From here, there were two different varieties of headlines... and ad copy on each ad to gauge what was getting the most traction. As Forbes put it, "the golden egg is A/B testing. If you're not A/B testing, you may already be behind your direct competitors". A/B split testing is the only way to discover what your customers want from your business. Marketing Guru Seth Godin said, "strategic quitting is the secret of successful organisations" don't stick to ads that don't work learn and adopt a more targetted approach. A couple of steps for you to consider: 1) Contact your agency to see what creative you have, running both text and graphic. 2) Ask if you are running A/B split testing. 3) Ask where your leads are coming from. _____________________________________________________ Get in contact if you want to know more about Google Ads, I'd love to help! #searchonfire #thesearchqueen #googleads #absplittesting

23.01.2022 ' ? It can be so easy to get wrapped up and stressed in areas that don't serve us or result in a positive outcome. This year has been proof of that. At the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, myself, like many other business owners, were terrified of losing what we have dedicated our lives to. ... I have made a conscious effort for the last 15 years to not to be consumed by the sensationalism of the media. But this year, I had no choice as the pandemic was so unprecedented and we all needed to stay up to date. I became a lot more anxious and lost a lot of sleep having to tune into something I knew was detrimental to my mental health, on top of the fear of losing the business. I wasn't protecting myself. Not standing guard of your mind is like expecting a child to grow into a successful adult with no guidance along the way. Like Tony Robbins says, "energy flows where attention goes." If you know what you are putting your attention into is bad for you, how do you think that will make you feel? Here is what helped me refocus my energy. 1. What do you want to accomplish in the next 3 years? 2. Why is it so important to you? 3. What can you do, right NOW to get closer to that accomplishment? 4. Set some 6 and 9-month goals along the way. Hold yourself accountable. 5. For me, the news drains my energy. Notice what drains yours, and protect yourself. #thesearchqueen #mindset #mentalhealth

23.01.2022 I'm tired of businesses not getting the attention and conversions they deserve. So for this month's tech hack, I'm going to show you exactly what is wrong with your website so you can generate more leads. A lot of my clients came to me with beautiful looking websites, but they failed to result in leads. Unfortunately for businesses, this is not uncommon. I have found it comes down to the website not being user friendly and lacking in conversion points.... My recommendation to you is to use a tool called Hotjar. This software shows you exactly why your users are leaving your website, and it's free to try here: https://www.hotjar.com/. Statistics reveal that "a single bad experience on a website makes users 88% less likely to visit the website again" (itechnic.com). Bill Gates said, "Your most unhappy customers are your greatest source of learning." When you use Hotjar, you can immediately learn why your customers are not happy with your website and get straight to improving it! As I say to my clients, having a beautiful website that does not generate leads is like "having a Ferrari without an engine". _______________________ If you need more help visit please send me a private message, I'm always happy to help! #thesearchqueen #searchonfire #themarketingrepubliq

23.01.2022 . I am so sorry you have to go through this scary time again. You are in my thoughts and my heart, I know you can get through this. I know that support goes a long way during times of need and I am here to support you in anyway I can. ... What has helped me through WA’s lockdown earlier in the year was using that extra time at home to arm myself with new skills and reinvent myself to come out the other side stronger than ever. YOU, can use this time to your advantage. Whether it's going back to the drawing board, brainstorming new business strategies, or looking for opportunities to pivot. My greatest advice to you is focus on what you can control. It’s something I feel so passionate about so much so that I wrote a blog about it earlier this year to create awareness of this concept and I think it's just as relevant now more than ever. You can check it out here: https://www.themarketingrepubliq.com.au/focus-on-what-you/ I hope helps in some way.

23.01.2022 !! We have our official signage! It might seem like not much for some, but for a growing business like us it's these little micro moments that get us excited. ... #bringon2021 #thesearchqueen #themarketingrepubliq

22.01.2022 ? I always aim high and wanted to be a success, but it wasn't something I always shared with those closest to me. No matter how big my dreams were, if the people I'm around didn't match the path I was on, I never would have achieved it. The people you surround yourself with are either lifting you up or weighing you down. Surround yourself with the people who are your biggest cheerleaders. ... You can't shift your dreams, and you shouldn't have to. Like Tony Robbins said, the quality of a person’s life is most often a direct reflection of the expectations of their peer group. You are the sum of the five people closest to you. The more you spend time with people the more you take on their values and standards. According to Harvard researchers, the people you regularly associate with will determine as up to 95% of your success or failure in life. Surround yourself with people who hold you accountable and want the best for you. If you start sharing your dreams and aspirations with people who aren't your ideal peer group, you will be held back in achieving your dreams. You have control of who you spend your time with. Choose wisely. #selfcare #growthmindset #personaldevelopment

21.01.2022 Yesterday I had the pleasure of joining 3 of my beautiful clients to celebrate Melbourne Cup. These three ladies are not just my clients, we have also formed a remarkable friendship that will last a lifetime. Working with clients like these makes my job the easy part. This is a classic case of when you do the right thing they tell all their friends. This is the ripple effect right here with these amazing female entrepreneurs and best friends from the Perth Hills. I absol...utely love working with them and most importantly watch all of their businesses grow each month. They never fail to make me laugh and bring a smile to my face. Thank you Sharon Higgins Leah Stupar & Vanessa Anderson, I’m forever grateful you have trusted us with all of your businesses

21.01.2022 ! Has anyone written up a blog piece for their website or a page of content ticking the SEO boxes and think, this is all the SEO work your website needs? I have to let you know this couldn’t be further from the truth! ... Over the last decade, I’ve managed plenty of clients who tell me they have previously run their own SEO campaign in house. When in fact, their campaign only consisted of writing content pieces. Content is only a tiny part of the SEO equation and does not constitute "doing SEO in house". In the past year I’ve had a client who cut their SEO budget to spend their money on traditional marketing, and cover SEO in house. This client has since come back to me as cutting their SEO had such a detrimental impact. Their website was not touched in the whole year and the SEO went backwards and we have to start from scratch to build it back up again. Every single month you must be implementing changes in three key areas, On-Page, Off-Page and Technical SEO. According to Moz.com, Google rolls out close to a thousand algorithm updates each year. In 2018, it was 3,234 updates recorded at an average of almost 9 per day. Although it can be tempting to tackle every part of business yourself, it's important to know when to let other people in that area of expertise take over. Like Sir Richard Branson says, if you really want to grow as an entrepreneur, you’ve got to learn to delegate. . I implore you to speak with an SEO expert, so your business isn’t going backwards and ask these following three questions: 1. Do they Complete an SEO audit? 2. Do they have an SEO strategy that they follow? 3. Do they do implement SEO recommendations? #thesearchqueen #searchonfire #themarketingrepubliq

21.01.2022 ? It's ok if you answered yes! Once upon a time, I did too.. I like to think of digital marketing as the means of connecting your business with the right audience. It’s as simple as helping your business reach potential customers online. ... I’ve had many new clients who had never sought out digital marketing as it seemed all a bit too hard and they often don’t have a huge advertising budget. Marketing and advertising are usually not high on the list of priorities for businesses and it needs to be. You hire an accountant to run the finances for your business because they are experts in what they do. Why wouldn't you do the same with your digital marketing? When a digital marketing strategy is managed effectively, it gives business owners laser-focused control over where and how they spend their money. With this kind of control and the data to support decisions, you can make smarter ones. According to research by MIT Sloan and Capgemini, 90% of the world’s CEOs think the digital economy will have an impact on their industry, yet less than 15% are executing on a digital strategy. Getting found on Google is like maintaining a healthy relationship. You need to build pillars of trust and respect with that significant other. Google is no different. You need to earn the search engine’s trust by adapting to their algorithms and following the rules. If you want to reap the rewards with Google you have to be willing to put the work in. Brian Halligan, CEO and Co-founder HubSpot, said: what separates good content from great content is a willingness to take risks and push the envelope. You need to make time for digital marketing in your business, it's the way the world is moving with or without YOU! #thesearchqueen #searchonfire #themarketingrepubliq

20.01.2022 ? We are constantly bombarded with content and marketing messages all day, every day. Can you believe it takes less than 10 seconds to form an impression on your brand? According to SmallBizGenius, the average person gets bombarded with over 1,700 banner ads per month, yet only sees half of them. In the past, people only needed to see your brand 4-5 times before purchasing. In today's world, it's estimated a customer needs t...o see your brand at least 7 times. With on average, 20 exposures before they even consider buying from you (smallbizgenius.com). This is the mere exposure effect, basically, the more you see something, the more you like it. I run my business by focusing on serving and adding value rather than selling. When you are authentic in this way, the right clients and customers will follow! You need to make sure your potential clients can see the value you are contributing from the first time they lay eyes on your brand. Like Anne Handley said, "the world doesn't need more content, it needs better content." Make those exposures COUNT and continue to be authentic so you can stand out from the noise. #community #entrepreneur #customersatisfaction

20.01.2022 ! We all have those days where we stumble out on the wrong side of the bed and from there our whole day can spiral. I have found it harder than ever to get myself out of a negative head-space when it feels like the world is crumbling around us. What helps on days like this is knowing I am in control of my thoughts, even at times when it feels like something else is taking over. ... It’s not just our mental well-being that’s affected, but your business is suffering from your state of mind. Harvard Business Review interviewed leaders about different states of mind and how each impacts their performance. Not surprisingly, but 94% of respondents said ‘calm,’ ‘happy’ and ‘energised’ where the states of mind which drove higher levels of effectiveness and performance rather than ‘frustrated or ‘anxious’ state of mind. Business is 80% mindset and 20% action. If you’re not investing heavily into your mindset you’re never going to achieve the goals. As Tony Robbins says change your state, change your story. If you fill a Porsche with bad fuel, you aren’t going to have a successful engine. Why would you do the same to your body by not taking care of your mindset? I am HUGE advocate of putting YOU first. I know it can be hard as a business owner and a dedicated family member and friend, but it’s essential we fill our cup first before trying to fill anyone else's as you can give what you don't have. This is what I do to keep good fuel in my engine: 1. Meditate. Practising this will help you gain control of your thoughts. 2. Have rituals for yourself. Exercise regularly, read before bed, sunset walk. 3. Motivational videos to help change your state. 4. Get enough sleep. 5. Consume healthy wholefoods, less of the packaged stuff. 6. Surround yourself with people who make you feel good. #thesearchqueen #searchonfire #themarketingrepubliq

19.01.2022 '' . One of the most common concerns I've seen with new clients is the disappointment towards their website and the fact they've spent money on a gorgeous website with no technical functionality (sometimes I see websites that even go against Google guidelines). Shockingly 70% of small businesses don't present clear call-to-action ('CTA') on their websites, yet ' ... %. Having CTA's on your website is like giving your customers a map and guiding them through new and often unknown territory. Jack Cardone, one of the worlds best salesmen, said: "treat your customers as though they're more valuable than you and your company - because they are". By including regular CTA's on desktop AND mobile view, your customers will feel confident to reach out, meaning you can start to reap the benefits sooner. Critically check your website: 1) Look at your website from your mobile, can you see any CTA's on the top righthand corner? 2) Make contact forms with minimal information (don't scare your customers off with lengthy contact forms). ______________________ Feel free to reach out to me with any questions. #searchonfire #thesearchqueen #themarketingrepubliq

18.01.2022 !! This week we celebrated the continued commitment and innovation of our state's businesses at the 2020 RISE Business Awards. The Marketing Republiq and Sonja The Search Queen were both nominated for Start Up of the Year award. ... Whilst we didn't take home the award (there's always next year!), just being nominated amongst such talent gives me the motivation to strive harder. Like Sir Richard Branson says "entrepreneurship is about turning what excites you in life into capital, so that you can do more of it and move forward with it." I am so grateful for support from my superstar crew. It's so important your circle are your biggest cheerleaders. Plus, I love an excuse to dress up on a weekday! #businessnews #RiseBusinessAwards #thesearchqueen

18.01.2022 Thanks so much to everyone for all the birthday posts, messages, stories and calls. I had the best day and I feel very loved. Thank you to my wonderful friends for the two day party and for all my wonderful gifts. A special mention to my hubby @kevin_raymond83 for my weekend away, my mom @joanpototzki and my two sisters @linda_pototzki and @dianaryan1268 for all the spa vouchers. Thank you @lauramaher00 & @jonnyroberts86 for organising dinner & a wine tour and @erinablitt for my beautiful cake that encapsulates all the things I love! A year older and I can definitely say I’m a lot wiser I’m feeling very blessed to have such incredible people in my life

16.01.2022 ? Trusting someone with your digital marketing is trusting them with your whole business; that's how important it is! A common problem I see is a lack of awareness when it comes to what conversions should be tracked. Such as an image click on a website will generate a sale, and is thus not important. ... It prolongs a vicious cycle as business owners are too scared to ask questions in digital marketing due to a lack of understanding. According to Ipsos's Global Trustworthiness Index, out of the 18 professions studied, advertising and marketing were ranked the least trustworthy out of all non-political workers. I work hard to gain that trust back in Google Search. What do I check for with new clients? When you log into a client's account, you can clearly see when it was optimised and how much was actually going towards Google. That's the beauty of digital marketing, it's all trackable. Here you can tell whether a campaign has been set up correctly. Too many are set how the client wants the business to be perceived rather than around the problem the customer needs solving. Your customer's needs should be your utmost priority! #digitalmarketing #trust #thesearchqueen

16.01.2022 ! I am so please to have Alisa join our business family as an Account Director! I had the pleasure of working with Alisa at a previous agency and saw first-hand her incredible skillset and how much clients love her! ... Alisa studied English, Media and Marketing and now has 13 years of digital marketing experience under her belt. Outside of work she loves going to the beach, yoga and tuning into her favourite podcasts. Aside from her amazing skillset and drive, above all the decision to hire her was made easy as she matches our values of trust, respect, loyalty and integrity so well. #thesearchqueen #businessexpansion #teamwork

16.01.2022 Who hasn’t gone in strong with a new strategy and come away disappointed when your sky-high expectations weren’t met? But there is a difference between apprehending positive results and having unrealistic expectations. ... Years ago I’ve had clients almost demand results from me straight away, calling me at any time of the day and failing to display mutual respect. Unfortunately, clients who I discontinued working with ultimately came down to a lack of respect. Your clients shouldn’t be costing you time and demanding unrealistic expectation from you. According to data from Salesforce.com, 72% of customers expect companies to understand their expectations and individual needs. It is crucial (for your business and well-being) to work with clients who match your VALUES. The key is to set realistic customer expectations and then not to just meet them, but to exceed them preferably in unexpected and helpful ways, Sir Richard Branson. Managing those expectations is key to keeping your clients & customers happy. How? 1. Don’t make big promises you can’t deliver. 2. Be specific on when you can (in all honesty) deliver on that promise. 3. Go that extra mile. 4. Be personable. Offer advice and work on authentic customer service. 5. Communicate. It is essential to set boundaries but be transparent. You can still aim to exceed your customer’s expectations by not overselling yourself and therefore you will gain trust and respect quicker. #thesearchqueen #searchonfire #themarketingrepubliq

16.01.2022 ? Some of my clients had previous experiences where Google Ad campaigns did not deliver satisfactory results when managed by a third party. They even believed Google Ads didn’t work. One thing my clients don't realise when they first come to me is how transparent digital marketing really is, especially Google Ads. You just need to know WHERE and HOW to look at your Google Ads change history.... A campaign will never reach its potential and drive ROI if the campaign is not optimised regularly. Optimising a Google Ads campaign is like weeding a garden, you cant expect to have a beautiful garden if you don't put the time in to look after it, Google Ads are no different. Some businesses had resources in the past which used the 'set and forget' mentality. Without ever optimising a Google Ads campaign which then never drives satisfactory results - Google Ads are not the problem its the resource that is managing it for you. HubSpot's research shows businesses make an average of $2 in income for every $1 they spend in Google Ads. I don't like to promise results. But I can guarantee a regularly updated and optimised campaign that is aligned with Google best practices. Follow these steps to check if your Google Ads campaign is getting updated regularly. 1) Log into your Google Ads account at www.ads.google.com 2) Under the 'Overview' column, click the option under settings that says 'change history' 3) Click 'change history' here you will see dates and optimisations made to that account. We have seen nightmare Google Ads accounts where there have been little to no optimisations made to the account. For a successful campaign, there should be monthly optimisations, or you're paying someone to do nothing. ______________________________ #thesearchqueen #searchonfire #themarketingrepubliq #googleads #onlinemarketing

16.01.2022 -??? It has been a scary time for business owners not knowing what result the global pandemic will have on their company and clientele. It is completely normal to be scared of what the future holds, I totally get it, I have been there! I have to say though, I am beyond pleased to see the results of my client’s websites through WA's lockdown period and seeing that the leads to their busine...sses has dramatically increased. I run the Digital Search (SEO & Google Ads) for my client Sharon Higgins and her four WA businesses. These results from April 20 show the increase in online users, phone call and email enquiries (conversions) for each business in just one month: Online users increased by 139%, resulting in 88 phone call and email enquiries. Online users increased by 57.1%, resulting in 144 calls and email enquiries. Online users increased by 21.2%, resulting in 78 total calls or email enquiries. Online users increased by 82.3%, resulting in 107 phone calls or email enquiries. It didn’t stop there as the leads that came through directly impacted her bottom line and smashed last years figures. I have never made big promises to clients that I could not keep. Sharing results is essential for me to show how my Digital Marketing strategies can transpire into real results. When delivering my clients their monthly results from my digital campaigns and to see their tears of joy and appreciation for what I have done for their business...That is what it is all about for me anyway! #thesearchqueen #searchonfire #themarketingrepubliq

15.01.2022 , . Historically brick and mortar businesses (or known as shop front businesses) focused on sales and reaching key performance indicators, but as times are changing so too are our customers. Forbes says that today to increase revenue, we need to stop selling. Sounds crazy right? Well, the idea is that today people quickly know when they are convinced to buy something. So instead focus on building rapport a...nd adding value to their lives; this will result in a long term investment and repeat purchasing. The New York Times #1 best selling author on mindset Gabby Bernstein said: "if you are moved by the work that you do, success is just an afterthought." By adding value to your customers' lives, you are like their favourite sporting team or superstar, and in return, they are your biggest fans. 15.01.2022 !! It is the holiday season and even if you don’t celebrate Christmas, I hope this time for you is still filled with plenty of yummy food and precious time spent with family and friends. Christmas is very close to my heart. Whilst I can’t be with my whole family back home in Ireland, I’m grateful to be able to spend it with those closest to me here in Australia. ... These two spoilt fur babies Coco and Milo most definitely make up for not having my immediate family around me! Taking the chance to slow down and focus on what is important, like our most valued relationships, is the true spirit of the holiday season in my eyes. I don’t know about you but after focusing on what matter most, I’m always left more refreshed and with a fuller heart.

14.01.2022 ? ( !) The truth is a lot of business owners are trying to navigate these trying times alone. Without a clear strategy to implement the changes, that they need to succeed. These are the five of the most common frustrations today shared by business owners: ... 1) Staying Passionate: It's now more crucial than ever to love what you're doing. Without passion, the flame dies and with it, your motivation! 2) Restraining the urge to do everything yourself: We know you love your business and want to protect it, but everyone needs help. Focus on your product/service offering and the expert knowledge you have. Then delegate the other tedious tasks to other professionals. 3) Promote (or rehire) employees: Sometimes, the people who are working are exceptional other times they end up pulling your business down. Employees that love where they work will work smarter and harder. 4) Cash Flow: effective cash flow management is a challenge and constant worry for small businesses. Keep a strict eye on money going in and out of your business or seek help. 5) Government regulations: Even though it may feel like the worst of COVID-19 crisis is over, we still need to make sure our businesses are following the current regulations. Keep an eye out for credible sources to keep you and your business up to date. Harvard Business Review confirms that 'business burn out' is very common for business owners, and say it is usually always from working too much. Richard Branson said, "the way you treat your employees is the way you treat your customers". Take time to acknowledge the people who help make your business a better place. Because finding good employees is like striking gold. _____________________________________________ #thesearchqueen #searchonfire #themarketingrepuliq

14.01.2022 ... The most common concern with any new client of mine is the desire to get the most keywords possible on the first page of Google. You can get as many keywords on Page 1, but it doesn't necessarily mean your website is going to convert to an enquiry. ... If your website isn't set up for conversions or has any regard for user experience, then it doesn't matter the number of keywords you use. Focusing on keywords is old school SEO. Your potential customers are now entering long-tail searches into Google rather than just keywords. According to Google, there are more than 200 ranking factors that determine where you will rank on the search engine's results page. Don't just focus on keywords. If you're too busy digging for gold you'll miss the hidden gems along the way. As Albert Einstein said, "we cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them." Make sure your SEO campaign takes into account all the factors Google considers when ranking. These are: 1. Page speed 2. On-site user behaviour 3. Updating website regularly 4. Using alt tags 5. Linking within your site

13.01.2022 ! If you're in business, you are already a success. Why? ... Over 174,000 businesses were started in Australia last year. Did you know that after one year, only 134,869 businesses will remain? And that statistic only continues to drop. According to the Australian Small Business Key Statistics, in the next five years, it's estimated only 34,805 will remain. Out of all the business started last year only 20% will survive the next 5 years. How long have you been in business? Look how far you have come! So many companies don't make it past that first year because it is so difficult. And if you are making a profit and paying employees, you are doing even better. 68% of businesses have outstanding debt more significant than the revenue they are generating. We, as businesses owners need to think of ourselves as warriors. Give yourself credit for SURVIVING, because according to the statistics, so many businesses don't. Congratulations on how far you have come, use it as motivation to keep striving. #smallbusiness #growthmindset #motivation

12.01.2022 --? Since COVID-19, I have been receiving a flood of media messages every day about public health, the economy, business ownership and what I'm expecting to see in the future. I know how extremely overwhelming it can be, but instead of getting caught up in the chaos, take a deep breath and focus on what you CAN control. ... Here are some of my tips I followed to try and remain stable during this period: 1) Update your website 2) Reviewing your marketing strategy 3) Upskilling 4) Prioritising self-care 5) Updating the Google my Business page 6) Add more value to your clients & Customers 7) Maintain strong communication with your team and with your clients The WA Government has recently relaxed social distancing regulations, and at this rate, things are looking more positive for everyone. The late Wayne Dyer says that "you cannot always control what goes on the outside, but you can always control what goes on the inside". Helping our clients is what kept me motivated through these testing times so far. 12.01.2022 I will remain loyal to all of my clients through thick and thin! If there's anything you're struggling with please reach out. I want to arm you with the knowledge you need about making the most of the current environment and making sure your business continues to thrive! I know all of the business stuff, of course. But I think what sets my work apart from others is that I do care about my clients. My current business model guarantees that I see all of my clients as not just a... paycheck, but as valued co-creators (and we would even call some friends!) The Harvard Business Review confirms that the 'best customers are the loyal ones'. I recognise that to get loyal customers firstly I need to show our loyalty to them. And if one of them wasn’t getting the job done or failing to result in any sales whatsoever, you wouldn’t hold onto them for long. Unfortunately, I see a lot of business owners fail to apply this logic to their own website. They throw up a website and assume a search engine will connect it to customers. Just because you ha...ve a website, it doesn’t mean your ideal customers will magically find it. As Will Rogers famously said "you never get a second chance to make a first impression." You want to make that first impression as that is how customers will perceive your business. According to Web FX how your site appears to a user is vital as 94% of first impressions relate to your site’s web design. What do findable businesses online have in common? They believe websites are: 1. A cornerstone for all your business success. 2. Pillar of communication. 3. Replaces a physical shopfront as a visual representation for the world to access. 4. A strategy is vital behind your website. Not just having one for the sake of it, but understand WHY it is there in the first place. 5. Pride themselves on their site. If you treat your employee right, they’ll be the best employees you’ve ever had. Now do the same with your website! It is your best salesperson who works 365 days a year and never takes a sick day. #thesearchqueen #searchonfire #themarketingrepubliq

09.01.2022 ? Through my works I've found most of my clients think updating content is all there is to having optimal SEO. This is far from the truth. Content is only one slice of the SEO pie. If you've heard the terms 'white hat SEO' and 'black hat SEO' but don't know what that means you are not alone! The Search Engine Journal published an article which explains that "the core difference between black hat and white hat SEO is whethe...r you are working in the spirit of the search engines' guidelines". I employ only the very best SEO experts, and train them to speak in a language that our clients will understand (otherwise all the tech jargon is overwhelming). They stick to SEO and SEO only! Whilst our other team members dedicate themselves to mastering their unique skills. Steve Jobs said, "great things in business are never done by one person; they're done by a team of people." Next time you're looking into SEO, make sure to Google 'site liner' and 'screaming frog' to check your websites on page SEO. Remember... Updating your content is only a very small fraction of SEO puzzle. ___________________ Reach out to me if you are struggling! #searchonfire #thesearchqueen #themarketingrepubliq #SEO #searchengineoptimisation #websiteoptimisation

09.01.2022 ? It's okay if a lot (or most of it!) doesn't make much sense. My clients have expressed with me the confusion they've experienced in the past by not understanding the work of their digital marketing expert. I believe it is essential for clients to understand the process as much as they want to. I promise to answer questions, break down the processes and speak in lamens terms. ... I'm so passionate about SEO, it is the backbone of my business model, and I'd love to share with you how this all works! Forbes says SEO needs to be tailored to suit individual businesses. There were a whopping 3,200 Google search algorithm changes in 2019 alone (searchengineland.com). This takes an enormous amount of work and constant optimisation because SEO changes daily. SEO does not mean updating your content on your website; this is a minuscule part of the on-page optimisation process there is a three-pronged approach that each have extensive deliverables that need to be satisfied in the following areas: A. On-page optimisation B. Off-Page optimisation C. Technical optimisation Elon Musk said, "it is okay to have all your eggs in one basket as long as you can control that basket". For me, SEO is the eggs in that basket. If you control your website's SEO, you will see the benefits. Here are some quick wins to improve your SEO: 1) Identify precisely what problems your customers have and how you solve them. 2) Look at the most recent keywords your customers are searching for by downloading the 'keywords everywhere' (free) plugin. 3) Check the back end of your website that keywords are being used regularly (or reach out for help to do so) ____________________________ If you still need some help for anything SEO related and you can always send me a direct message. #thesearchqueen #searchonfire #themarketingrepubliq #seo #seostrategy

07.01.2022 ' ? Rather than investing huge amounts of time and effort into trying to increase leads to your business, I love that with Google Ads the results can be seen faster. While it may take a few months to see SEO results, you can see results from your Google ads the same day you launch a campaign. It also works faster by appearing on top of all search results on Google, ultimately driving leads directly to your business. ... Plus, Google is the largest marketplace in the world, everyone who is and ever will be your customer is on Google. All your customers are already online, searching and waiting for YOU. ? In April 20 amid WA's lockdown period all of my clients saw massive increases in phone call and email enquiries. For example one of our client’s SOMO, part of JWH Group whom are renowned for building excellence in WA Australia, enjoyed an increase of 35% in phone call and email enquires which came directly from the Google Ads campaign I manage for them. Making April 20 a record month in terms of digital results since its launch 12 short months ago. According to WebFx, 35% of users purchase a product within 5 days of searching for it on Google. While it may take a few months to see SEO results, you can see the results of Google Ads the same day you launch a campaign. Why not start making advancements you know will help your business make sales. Here are some steps you can do to ensure you are getting the most out of your Google Ads. 1. Ensure your is constantly being tested and optimised each month. 2. Check your ‘Change History’ to see what optimisations have or haven't been done to your campaign. 3. 06.01.2022 ' , ' . If people can't find your business online, it is merely a billboard in the desert. You are essentially NOT even open for business! What is the point of spending your hard-earned money on advertising and promoting your business if your audience CAN'T find you? ... Here are some top tips you can do to start getting Google on your side: 1. Make the most of your headings. When reading through a website, you want to be guided in a way that makes sense, make sure to use keywords within the headings. 2. Use meta titles and descriptions. These are the blue links that show up in a search and the lines that follow in the description. You can write these yourself rather than Google doing it for you. 3. Revamp your images. Name all the images uploaded on your site describing what is in the image using alt text. Bonus if you resize images to the exact resolution your website needs so your page can load faster. 4. Content is king. Writing regular content on your area of expertise shows Google you are an authority in that area. 5. Link, link and link again. Internal linking within your website will keep people on your site longer, or linking to other sites keeps Google happy. It's important to reference co-founder Google Larry page here "the ultimate search engine would basically understand everything in the world, and it would always give you the right thing. And we're a long, long way from that." Whilst we may be a long way from the ultimate search engine, with these steps, you can get Google to be your best friend. #thesearchqueen #searchonfire #themarketingrepubliq

05.01.2022 ? Your digital marketing should be focused on driving leads to your business and directly making sales. Thus, making your business more profitable. I have seen some horror shows when it comes to other digital marketing strategies and what they focus on in Google Analytics. ... In my experience, the only conversions that should be tracked on Google Analytics are phone call and email enquiries (or form fills) as they are the CLOSEST KPI that help generate a sale. Other digital marketing providers might, but I’m not going to count an image click or gallery view downloads as real results for my clients as they don’t equate to any sales, even though they look amazing on paper. I’m dedicated to generating real results for my clients and not coasting on analytics numbers which don’t coincide with any profit. One of Tony Robbins quotes springs to mind here any time you sincerely want to make a change, the first thing you must do is raise your standards. You must track your leads to shed light on where your leads are coming from and to determine what is, and what is NOT working. Not doing this is like expecting an abundant garden but not doing anything, even simply watering it to make sure it grows. How can you check whether you have the important leads coming through? 1. Log into your Google Analytics account. 2. On the left-hand side got to; acquisition all traffic channels. 3. On the last tab you will find a drop-down option All Goals. 4. Click All Goals, and you will see what has been set up as a conversion. 5. Compare the conversions with the amount of sales that were achieved in that same month. #thesearchqueen #searchonfire #themarketingrepubliq

04.01.2022 ' , ! When you are on a path of pursuing your dream it is going to get uncomfortable. If it was easy everyone would be doing it! There will always be the naysayers who don't get what or why you are doing it. Getting comfortable with being uncomfortable is the KEY. When you are more attached to the outcome of being accepted you will be less authentic in the process. ... Not everyone will like what you're doing, and that's ok, like Winston Churchill said, "you have enemies? Good. That means you’ve stood up for something, sometime in your life." When I started out on my business journey one of my main concerns was what other people thought of me and doubting if I knew enough to help other people. The imposter syndrome was REAL and it held me back for so long. You're not alone if you felt like you don't deserve your accomplishments. Forbes estimates 70% of the population experience a level of imposter syndrome in their lives. Try not to doubt your abilities and what you can share with others, your doubts are more than likely self-sabotage! When you feel a sense of imposture syndrome come on, take a breath a look how far you have come. You deserve all of your accomplishments, and more! If you cared about what people thought up until now, you wouldn't be where you are today. #mindset #business #impostersyndrome

04.01.2022 " ?" Authentic customer service is everything. Doesn't it always make your day when your local coffee shop or grocery store employees really engage and have a real conversation with you? Forbes said that almost 92% of customers would stop purchasing from a company after 3 or less poor customer service experiences.... It's important to set a new precedent for all industries to improve their customer service not only for a better buying experience, but also for creating a positive environment for all employees still working right now. Gary Vaynerchuk said, "I genuinely believe that any business can create a competitive advantage through giving outstanding customer care". For example, think of brand superstars Apple and their exceptional customer care whenever you've stepped foot in their stores. Customer service is water your business needs to survive. Two ways you can improve your customer service today are: 1) Send an email to your customers with the subject headline "how are you going?" 2) Make sure your employees are greeting customers by asking how they are and genuinely engaging with their response. ______________________________________ If you're struggling with your business please feel free to reach out to me! #thesearchqueen #searchonfire #customersfirst

03.01.2022 ' ... I've got a hack this month for you to make sure your business isn't turning away customers and ensuring Google is indexing your site effectively. Isn't there nothing more frustrating than knowing what you're searching for online, or browsing the net online shopping and the webpage takes ages to load? What if that was your business and you didn't even know it. You didn't know your customers were becoming fr...ustrated before your website even loads. The page speed of your site is the measurement for how fast the content on your page loads. How fast your page loads even play into your website's ranking on Google. Page speed became one of Google's ranking factors as of July 2018. They do not serve websites on the search engine with poor page speed. Google only cares about the end-user, not your website. Google's purpose is to increase the customer experience on it's platform so people keep returning again and again and to their reliable search engine. According to smallbizgenius.com, 53% of mobile site visitors will leave a page if it takes longer than three seconds to load. And 88% of online shoppers say they wouldn't return to a site after negative user experience. Don't let your business become a part of these statistics. You can check this by putting your website's URL into a page speed reader to evaluate how fast it loads through this link: https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/ #pagespeechinsight #searchqueen #hack

03.01.2022 ? The desire to be accepted is a basic human instinct. When trying to fit in, we compare and form versions of ourselves to adapt to different surroundings and people. But in using all that energy adapting, we lose our authentic self. ... I love this quote by Dr John Demartini, "compare yourself not to others, but only to the vision you hold within your heart. Dedicate your life to a cause greater than yourself and watch you get beyond yourself. The very thing that someone told you that you would never be able to do may just be the very thing you are destined to do." Don't lose yourself by judging yourself against others. An oak tree doesn't compare itself to the small trees in the forest. It accepts what it is and grows strong and tall. Don't limit yourself by the desire to fit in. While it is normal to feel that way, question WHY you are drawn to comparisons and fitting in. It might come down to a lack of self-belief. #authenticity #searchexpert #mindset

03.01.2022 , . At the early stages of setting up my business I remained under the radar as I wasn't sure if it was going to be successful, so I played small. Can you believe it took me a year to launch my website? I was so full of self doubt and didn't see what I offered held massive value. It wasn't until I saw the results my clients were getting that I realised what I had created needed to be shared to help bu...siness achieve their goals. It wasn't about me anymore. It was about the greater good and I was doing disservice by keeping it to myself. The relationship I have with my clients is what continues to makes my job so enjoyable. There is nothing I wouldn't do to get them the leads and results they deserve. 2 years on, and after a strict recruitment, we don't decide to work with every client. I've had to turn away a lot clients who don't match our values. Working with the clients that are the right fit is crucial to any business success. My team continues to grow, now a group of 10 who are so appreciated for the quality of work they deliver. I have learnt so much about myself from my business and it will only grow if I continue to grow. One thing I've learnt is the strength in vulnerability. This quote from Brené Brown resonates with me, "vulnerability is not winning or losing; it's having the courage to show up and be seen when we have no control over the outcome. Vulnerability is not weakness; it's our greatest measure of courage." Do what scares you and be vulnerable. You've only got one life, what's the point in leaving it half lived? #thesearchqueen #searchonfire #themarketingrepubliq

02.01.2022 I've got some exciting news to share A few months ago, I started reflecting on all the hard work I've done to get my business to where it is today. Although I am SUPER proud with what I have achieved so far, I'm always looking for an opportunity to learn & grow. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, it was a scary time as a business owner. I knew this was a significant fork in the road where I could either simply try to weather the storm or take it as a chance to grow. So, I s...aid yes to reinventing myself and my business and I found so much fulfilment in taking the path less travelled. My passion of seeing businesses succeed and reach their potential is my why hence I wanted to set up a program to bring about positive change within the industry and help business owners where they need it most, getting their businesses online (which is now more important than ever). This famous quote by the Chinese philosopher Sun Tzu is what has kept me focused on my goals, In the midst of chaos, there is also opportunity" After a lot of hard work and long hours I want to introduce to you what I have been working on these last few months, check out The Search Queen below: https://go.thesearchqueen.com/freetraining-1 ______________________________________ #thesearchqueen #searchonfire

02.01.2022 ? Google Analytics can be super overwhelming, especially when you don't take the time to figure it out, and it goes into the 'too hard' basket...RIGHT?! You would be surprised how many business owners have never logged into Google Analytics and have zero idea on what this powerful tool can do for their business. ... You must check your 'Channels' to see where your conversions are coming from so you can compare them to last year and see if your campaigns have been successful. Not being aware of the results on Google Analytics is like driving in the dark without your headlights on. You are going to hit something. Don’t hit a roadblock with your business by being unaware of how to use Google Analytics... Educate yourself!!! Educate yourself!!! We are so lucky to be able to track where our customers are coming from with digital marketing and see what has been a success. It is wasting an invaluable opportunity not prioritising understanding GA inside out. According to Harvard Business Review, more than 70% of companies say they now consider people analytics (using statistics from your data to make decisions) to be a high priority. Here's what you can do: 1. Log into Google Analytics. 2. In the left-hand menu click 'Channels.' 3. Click 'Conversions.' 4. Toggle last year comparison. Like Nelson Mandela said, "it always seems impossible until it's done." It's NOT impossible. Trust me, learn Google Analytics, and it will help your business so much!! #thesearchqueen #searchonfire #themarketingrepubliq

02.01.2022 ? Many business owners don't know the financial position of their business and if their marketing is impacting the bottom line. Doing marketing for the sake of marketing is like driving towards the outcome, with all the resources wheels spinning, but you are just wasting resources. ... If businesses want leads quickly, Google Ads is the best strategy. You can see results within the same day, but you have to pay more upfront. On the other hand, if you want a more cost-effective strategy, you need to focus on SEO. But it may take longer. Ideally, you do the two in conjunction. Knowing what you want out of your digital marketing and planning a strategy is of paramount importance so you maximise your budget. Start sewing the seeds for a successful business, "someone's sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago," by Warren Buffett. All I can say is trust your intuition. If someone is pitching you results and it feels wrong. it usually is. Push yourself to see what you can learn about this in your own time. Ask your current resource to explain in layman’s terms what they are doing for you each month for the money you pay them. Some tips: 1. Figure out how much new business you need to hit your internal sales targets. 2. Take the time to figure out how many new customers that would involve. 3. Determine how much you would be willing to spend to acquire a new customer. 4. Establish what budget you can spend on digital marketing to achieve the desired outcome. #thesearchqueen #searchonfire #themarketingrepubliq

01.01.2022 , ?! I hear you! So many of my clients have struggled previously on whether they should use Google Ads, SEO or both. Ideally... you need to be employing both as they have very different objectives. ... SEO is like a mortgage, it builds long-term foundations for your future. Google Ads is like your rent, providing you with short-term results while you wait for your home to be built. It is a lot more expensive but you can see results sooner than with SEO which requires more patience. You need a strong digital foundation with SEO as the backbone. Why is it so important? According to WebFX, organic traffic produced from an SEO campaign can achieve over 40% of a company's revenue. I suggest starting both campaigns together. Google Ads will can bring in the leads in the meantime, whilst your SEO gains traction and develops in the long run. Before you commence any campaign please consider these steps: Determine what your objectives are? What is the time frame to achieve your objectives? Calculate your budget? Determine how much you are willing to spend to acquire a new customer? #searchexpert #SEO #googleads
