11.01.2022 Ever thought about using Nitrogen in your tyres? YES, Nitrogen. A tyre inflated with Nitrogen have many benefits compared to one inflated with common air. Here are three main reasons why that is. 1. A tyre inflated with nitrogen will keep the pressure inside the tyre even, saving you money and increasing your safety. With common air, changes in temperatures will fluctuate air pressures in your tyres. Firstly, this is likely to cause more rolling resistance which is the main c...ause of high fuel consumption. Secondly it increases the associated risks of safety such as longer braking distances. Thirdly under inflated tyres will deform your tyre and decrease its lifespan. Proper air pressure will ensure better mileage aswell. 2. The absence of oxygen with nitrogen inflated tyres will protect your tyres against blowouts. 3. Nitrogen eliminates oxidation damages. Common air inhibits water in the form of liquid and vapour, which are the main culprits to rim damage (rust), to valves (pressure loss) and breakages (cuts) of tyre walls. Though there are no evident driving difference with using Nitrogen, you will see the difference with fuel costs and tyre maintenance costs. Nitrogen maintains proper pressure 3 to 4 times longer compared to common air. Racers prefer to use nitrogen rather than air as there is a lot less pressure change as their tyres heat up.
