22.01.2022 Blue Knot Day is today Monday 29 October and Blue Knot Day events are held all week to 4 November and this week we are holding a street stall to raise awareness. Join members of the Northern Beaches Trauma Informed Practitioner Support Group (hosted by Tranquillo Place), to raise awareness of Blue Knot Foundation in the local region and the fact that five million Australians are surviving childhood abuse and trauma. You can support the Blue Knot Foundation cause and help rais...e awareness by purchasing blue glass stones featuring supportive messages, along with Blue Knot Day friendship bracelets and our very own Tranquillo Stones all will be available for sale at the street stall as a fundraiser for Blue Knot Foundation. Like a good parent, the good teacher guides the student to become self-sufficient and responsible for her own life and body. She does not perpetuate dependency. 11.01.2022 The benefits of yoga practice in helping people affected by trauma can be tremendous, and they are becoming better researched and documented. With so much awareness on the issue, many survivors of trauma check out yoga classes on their own, unaware that so much variety exists in styles of yoga and teachers. People are always asking me where they can find a trauma sensitive YOGA class in the Northern Beaches. If you know a teacher that looks after her students with a trauma informed approach please let us know :)
