24.01.2022 I made a batch of Shea cocoa body lotion with frankincense and bergamot today. Because it's probably the last I am going to make for a while I decided to make it a little extra special and added a healthy dose of silk

20.01.2022 What are you seeking? Fabulous body oils to suit your needs. These are a bit of a one off treat using up some of my lovely oils like organic camellia, almond, jojoba, macadamia, organic arnica extract and vitamin E. I have had a lovely time making up all these essential oil blends, I do like things to be luxurious.

20.01.2022 I have just finished making up a fresh batch of Lava shampoo bars as I only have 2 left, you do like these bars. The lava bar features hemp oil which has quite a strong smell to it on its own that I do like, it reminds me of rope and juicy grass. Hemp oil has got lots of fatty acids in it which are hydrating for your hair. I also put jojoba oil in this bar, jojoba oil is actually a liquid wax and it is great for giving your hair body and fullness. When the mix has come to tra...ce it's a rich creamy caramel sort of consistency I then add in lots of honey. Honey is also great for hair and its great for skin too, It is a humectant which means it retains and attracts moisture, I like to use honey on its own to cleanse my face with its very nice you should try it. The sugar content of the honey makes the bar saponify at a high temperature and along with the essential oils gives the bar it's lovely golden ginger colour. Sometimes I make this bar without any essential oils and the natural scent of the honey and hemp oil come through smelling so wholesome. One more thing the lather is so creamy. See more

14.01.2022 I have been on a soaping marathon making up final batches of soaps, mermade bars, natures child, tart the duel mechanic, alice star and many more.... lucky me surrounded by beautiful smells listening to great music and generally having a good time. I am doing what will be a final stock up for a while. Making the most of all my remaining oils and butters. These soaps take a little time to cure they will be ready to sell in mid-August. I am planning a sale I will let you know x

11.01.2022 New things are happening for Sophia Body Works I haven't posted for so long because I have not known which direction things are going. My family has decided we want to visit new horizons and to live the gypsy life for a while which means I am pausing with my little biz while we do that. It will actually give me the opportunity to contemplate and reinvent which I am really looking forward to. It has taken me a while to get to that place it just felt sad and hard and like a big end of the road for SBW, but now I realise what a great opportunity this is for my business. It is very easy to get caught up in the small stuff and have no time for the grand design. Traveling with my family is going to be so much fun. It is not the end of SBW yet but a time to grow.

07.01.2022 Shampoo bars you want to eat! This one is called TART and has lots of creamy shea butter in it and a fresh lemon scent

05.01.2022 Now ready to go! The Merman Shampoo bar with ground up seaweed every true merman has a bit of seaweed in their hair. Seaweed is said (not making any crazy claims here) to be good at preventing hair loss. Lots of Rosemary to stimulate growth and a dose of lemongrass and peppermint because we don't actually want you to smell like seaweed. Also liked by Mermaids.
