He is the kind of horse that thinks everything around him is terrifying, but still tries to do the right thing! Fun facts! Personality: Very sweet but scared of absolutely everything! ... Favourite thing to do: Flip his feed bin over and then spread the feed absolutely everywhere on the ground before eating it! Best known for: Snorting and eyes popping out of his head the entire way from the paddock to the stables every day! Also tripping over trot poles! Fun fact: Despite his name Mouse, he is the biggest horse here at the moment! We are a small but professional team with a dozen horses in work, and travel to eventing and show jumping competitions throughout Australia. This is a full-time, live-in position and will include both working at home and travelling to some competitions - when they are happening again!!! This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to learn, improve and develop their skills as a gro...om and rider under the guidance of Sophia Landy. 4 star eventer, and Grand Prix show jumper. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, hardworking, willing to learn, and takes pride in completing their work to a high standard. The role will include feeding, daily care and tacking up horses as well as riding depending on experience. There is the option to bring your own horse for the right person. Applicants must be 18+, and have drivers license. Ideally looking for someone who is able to start immediately and work for around 6 - 12 months. 14.01.2022 We had a great weekend at Werribee for the Spring dressage and Hunter Trials, with a team of young horses attending. Pictured is Happy nailing his first ever dressage test for 72% and 1st place in the 80! He also jumped clear all weekend and picked up a 3rd place in the 80cm Hunter Trials on Sunday. Not to be outdone, Basil (Seattle Park) also won his 80 section dressage with a 71.8%, and backed up with a 70% and 5th place in his first 95 dressage. ... She raced as ‘Arfurized’ and has since been off the track for roughly 18 months, most of which has been spelling. 10.01.2022 We had a great weekend at NVSJC show. It was so nice to be back out competing again, and all the horses were super! Fenella Ritchie’s Jaybee Artiste was the star of the show. He picked up 2nd in 115cm, and then 5th in his first 125cm on Saturday. Followed by a 3rd in the 110cm today! Michelle Landy’s Basil (Seattle Park) was also fantastic, jumping clear in the 95cm and 105cm on Saturday, with 2 clear jump offs. He jumped clear in the 100cm today, and had 1 rail in his first... 110cm class. He really proved what a promising little horse he is for the future! We also took along two first timers, Happy and Jack who had a great show with lots of clear rounds in a mixture of 75cm - 90cm classes! Both were very well behaved so it was a great start to their completion careers! Thanks to my amazing support team for all your hard work behind the scenes. 08.01.2022 With travel allowed for regional Victoria this special little horse is back on the market and available for viewing. Cannot recommend this horse highly enough! Tobias is a 16hh 6yo WB x ISH gelding with a fantastic easy-going attitude. He has three great paces, and loves both cross country and show jumping. He is well educated and has been produced professionally with fantastic results at all competitions - he has never been unplaced! He consistently scores well in the dres...sage and jumps double clear. He is a bold and confident ride cross country, fantastic with ditches, water etc. He has spent the last year being ridden by a 13 year old rider, who has competed him successfully, as well as taken him to numerous squad training days and clinics. Results include: 1st place Friends of Werribee HT EvA 80 2nd place EV Spring HT EvA 80 3rd place Canberra HT Eva 80 3rd place Candlebark HT EvA 95 More recently he placed 6th at Ballarat HT, and 8th at Geelong HT with his young rider, jumping double clear at both events in the EvA 80. Tobias is a fuss free young horse who is fantastic to take out and about. Great to handle on the ground, c/s/f etc. He has done a bit of everything and enjoys trail riding, beach riding, stock work, and has all the makings of a great eventer or show jumper. He has been schooling around 1m regularly, however has jumped a few jumps up to 1.40m with his 13 year old rider showing fantastic scope and technique. He would make a fantastic straight show jumping mount. He is very quiet and sensible, however considering his young age we would like to see him go to an experienced home where his education can be continued. Sad sale of a much-loved homebred horse! 05.01.2022 Introducing Zorro! This gorgeous big WB buckskin gelding is owned by Loren Wellings from Horse Bit Emporium. He is by Linbil White Russian. I broke Zorro in about 18 months ago and he has had a few visits since for further training and is a favourite with his sweet nature! Fun facts!... Personality: Very sweet and cuddly! Favourite thing to do: Run around like an idiot in the paddock! Best known for: Having beautiful movement but being very clumsy over jumps! Fun fact: Zorro is super flexible, and likes to turn his head all the way around (until it seems like his poll and ears are in your lap) for a pat whilst being ridden. It so easy for him! Many of you may already know this talented guy who I have enjoyed campaigning over the last year, and am now still enjoying during lockdown... Introducing Arthur! Arthur is pictured here having a jumping school. We are keeping up to scratch with a jump once or twice a week, plus flatwork and hacking out (the last part being rather terrifying if you ask Arthur!) Fun facts! ... Personality: High maintenance! The best way to describe Arthur would be to say that when he is good he is very good, and when he is being tricky or difficult he is extremely complicated! Favourite thing to do: Spook at any opportunity, plus generally just doing silly things! Best known for: Doing elephant sized poos in the tie ups! Fun fact: Despite living on a cattle farm for a long time before coming here, Arthur hates cows! 02.01.2022 We had a fantastic weekend of jumping at NVSJC for our last show of the year! Fenella Ritchie’s Jaybee Artiste placed 2nd in the 120cm class and 3rd in the 115cm class. Happy and Jack both jumped super around the various 80 - 95cm classes, both picking up a couple of placings and jumping a lot of clear rounds. These two have both become so consistent.... The two youngsters of the team, Rossi (pictured) and Barra were well behaved and jumped some good rounds!
