21.01.2022 { MARQUEE TIP } We LOVE clear marquees, BUT these clear marquees are like large hot houses in the middle of summer!! . Working under one of these bad boys in the peak of summer is basically like working in a sauna.. The heat is intense !! .... Which is why its SO important to organise covers over the roof of the marquee. This ensure your beautiful hanging florals, the furniture and glassware dont suffer from the heat. The marquee company will remove the covered before your reception begins so everything inside the marquee stays alive and cool and you have that clear roof for your evening under the stars. xx @ Howard Park Wines See more

For our end of 2020 and 2021 couples, well be pushing on business as usual. We are carefully following advice from the Aus Govt regarding updates on weddings, events and gatherings. To the Wedding and Event businesses who are catching their breath amongst this Coronavirus chaos, we are with you. Remember, nobody wants to cancel on love. Postpone your celebrations where necessary and possible, speak to your suppliers if your wedding is near. This industry makes things happen, and has plenty of ideas too. Don't feel like you're... alone, the dependence of celebrating love is a two way street. We are in this together! To our Aussie couples- please let us know if you're struggling. 14.01.2022 {WP TIP # 3} Best way to tackle your guest list?? Keep it simple, make rules & be realistic! . Remember; each head count costs , your venue might only hold a certain amount of people and always consider that both sets of parents might want some input. .... Heres our advice: . Decide how youll divide the list first (half the guest list for the B&G, a quarter for each set of parents??) Be realistic about the number of guests to avoid stress later on. Make cutting rules and follow them! (e.g: If neither of you have spoken to them in 2yrs and theyre not related - dont invite them! Make an A-list and a B-list (A listers; invites sent 8 wks in advance, B listers: 6 wks. Just dont make it obvious!) And try to avoid those last minute add-ons! . 07.01.2022 We have a confession - it takes everything we have when a friend gets engaged to NOT give them unsolicited advice on what they should do first / warn them about what not to do / tell them to hire a planner... etc. Whos with me?? . So why not treat them to some fun facts about engagements instead! #WeLoveFunFacts . The tradition of both the bride & groom wearing wedding rings only began during WWII, when men began wearing rings to remember their wives back home.... . One historical reason for the exchanging of wedding rings was for the man to prove that he was financially stable enough to support his new bride by first giving her a gift of precious metal. . According to tradition, the marriage is doomed if the groom drops the ring during the ceremony. (..Ha! Dont believe this one) . The ancient Egyptians believed that a blood vessel ran from the ring finger on the left hand straight to the heart, which is why we wear wedding rings in that particular placement. There is no biological evidence to suggest this is true, but the tradition has continued on nonetheless. . Learn something new everyday!
