25.01.2022 The Redwoods is a special place for these guys. Somewhere they spend a lot of weekends exploring and adventuring together. When Kirstyn asked if I would be keen to do a shoot down there I was maybe more excited than the kids! They had so many little spots they wanted to show me and knew where all the good trees were! I love photographing in places special to you so if youve got somewhere in mind, please let me know about it!

25.01.2022 Ive loved seeing so many of my past Kinder kids whilst working on my @stay.at.home_colac project! I think were still a long way off getting the go ahead for Kinder photos but I cannot wait to be back capturing the fun of Kinder and Childcare!

24.01.2022 This cutie Ive had the pleasure of photographing little Hewie a couple of times now and every time hes kept his eyes on me and shows me the biggest grin. It really saves my energy levels when the kids smile without any prompts

22.01.2022 Yesterday with Paddy Paddy was so alert and so happy for his session! I dont think a newborn has ever smiled this much or given me as much eye contact as little Paddy did!

22.01.2022 Ive started a new photography project Ive been quite unmotivated for the last few weeks as my shoots all got cancelled and Ive been self isolating at home. Inspired by my friend Monika who started the @stay.home.project in Ocean Grove, Ive decided to start documenting the local families of Colac in their front yards as they all self isolate. 19.01.2022 Outfit Coordination! This would have to be one of the biggest stress contributors in the lead up to a photoshoot but it really doesnt have to be! This is a family session from a few years ago but its such a good example of how you can coordinate your outfits I wanted to share it again. As a general rule, neutrals are best. They help your images stay timeless which is what we want! Slogans, brand names and busy patterns all date easily so try to avoid them. Mixing up you...r neutral colours (white, cream, brown, black and grey) in different tones always looks great. I also include blue in my list of neutrals because its so versatile! You can see here, these guys are wearing 3 different shades of blue and have mixed in grey and brown (neutrals) to help bring it all together. A splash of colour is perfect to take your coordination to the next level and this maroon dress is the icing on the cake I love helping out with this kind of stuff as I know how important it is to help take your images to the next level! 18.01.2022 Looking back on some past sessions and finding some gems I havent shared yet! This was taken on a classic Victorian Summer day - windy and cold! These guys were visiting from Cairns and may have struggled with it a bit more than the rest of us

18.01.2022 This quote sums up how Im feeling at the moment. Our country is literally burning and the thought of posting one of my sessions all seems a bit trivial. But, as so eloquently put by @bymariandrew the fact that suffering, mundanity and beauty coincide is unbearable and remarkable. While we stay busy assisting the victims and those helping with these fires, we shouldnt feel guilty about celebrating the good. This photo was from the most stunning wedding in NZ just before Christmas and I feel it needs to be shared and celebrated

17.01.2022 Booking Newborn Sessions - As we all know, newborns have a schedule of their own and we never quite know when theyre going to grace us with their presence. If youre thinking about booking in a newborn session its best to do it well before bubs arrives. Some weeks I am fully booked out with Childcare photos so if I know well ahead of time that your baby is due, I can work that into my schedule! Basically, its never too early to book in!

14.01.2022 One of my Pre Covid family sessions and what a beauty it was! With restrictions now easing I will be taking on family sessions while still adhering to social distancing rules. Extended family shoots will still be a couple of weeks away at this stage but if youre wanting to capture your immediate family, get in touch! X

13.01.2022 Sometimes toddlers need a break from taking photos. We might only be there for 30 minutes but sometimes it can be a bit too long. To help get a little bit more out of them I might get you to go for a little walk to investigate what type of rocks the park has to offer (or something else just as exciting!) This little distraction is usually enough for them to forget Im there and allow me to get some super candid shots while were at it. These are sometimes some of my absolute faves which was certainly the case for this session!

07.01.2022 With restrictions easing and it looking like well be able to start back doing Kinder and Childcare photos from the start of Term 3 Im starting to book and reschedule all my postponed centres.
