24.01.2022 Although Briana and Sam were not able to be with me for Mother's Day!, - they are working on prepoll in Merimbula, and Bega, - they did find the time to take me out for a lovely walk. Thanks for a lovely day kids.

16.01.2022 Cliftonwood Open Day Sunday 3rd of November 2019 - 10 am to 2 pm Cliftonwood is a homestead built circa 1841 by John Watson on land owned by Hamilton Hume. The first residents were Watson and his wife and later Elizabeth Hume (Suzannah Watson's sister) and her two sisters after Hume's death in 1873.... Cliftonwood is one of the oldest properties in Yass and has retained its original character, fittings and outbuildings including the original stable with its worn cobblestones where you can see the building methods of the day. Take a step back in time and experience a day on the farm enjoying various activities and spectacles including a working steam engine and an array of restored and working antique farm machinery. You can also stop and enjoy a bite to eat as you enjoy the uninterrupted views over the Yass river. Entry $5/Food available How to get there: Turn into Rossi Street past the Police Station Then turn right into Irvine Drive at the top of the hill. Then turn right at the sign just past the cemetery. 15.01.2022 Just wanted to post a very big thank you to all those wonderful helpers who generously shared their time to support us. This is the first time in over 30 years we have run in Eden-Monaro. We had a small but dedicated campaign team and a massive logistical task to get off the ground. I am so proud of how much we achieved- we have re-grouped as Eden-Monaro Nationals and proven we can take on this challenge. Thank you all- I had a great time working with you all.

12.01.2022 It was great to catch up with with Senator Bridget McKenzie, Deputy Leader of the Nationals, and Graham Shaw at Shaw Wines, to have a chat about the Murrumbateman Winery Trail. It is a great initiative connecting seven of our local cellar doors, local retail stores, local accomodations and of course Murrumbateman Village together to help get everyone visiting our amazing local region. #edenmonaro #sophiewade #murrumbateman #murrumbatemanwinerytrail #Yass #YassTribune

11.01.2022 At home with my amazing mum, loving sister and two of my three gorgeous kids today - mum’s 83 and she’s still ‘making sure I’m ok’. Missing Briana of course but she’s in Bega for pre-poll. Hope you are all having a super special day with your families too- Happy Mother’s Day to all the mums out there!

09.01.2022 I am pleased to announce that if re-elected the Nationals in Government will commit to a Headspace Satellite Service in Yass funded from 2020. This is a great announcement for our community. Making these services readily available to our young people is critical to their wellbeing and to them understanding how important they are to all of us!

07.01.2022 Great weekend as always at the Murrumbateman Field Days. Drought and water are on the front of everyone’s mind. It’s really tough in the regions (no matter if you’re cockies, budgies or townies). Thought you’d like to see the results of the community feedback boards.

06.01.2022 Thank you for always being so supportive! It is what makes the Nationals such a great team to be a part of!

06.01.2022 Big thanks to NSW Farmers Yass Branch for the fabulous Farmers Mob Together on Friday night. A night just about bringing farmers and the rural community together to have a yarn and a laugh. Murray Hartin , renowned comedian and bush poet was outstanding- as was Bill Nesbit. Let’s do it again soon!

04.01.2022 Had a lovely time talking with Simon Launder and the other candidates at ABC South East NSW yesterday, answering some live questions from the audience. If you didn’t tune in and catch us speaking and are interested in listening, you can find the recording of yesterday mornings show at https://www.abc.net.au//progr/breakfast/breakfast/11079754 starting at about 2:26:00.

03.01.2022 Turns out that there’s another Sophie Wade in Eden-Monaro. This one is as cute as a button! Great to meet you Sophie - hope the tooth fairy delivers tonight !
