18.01.2022 COVID-19 update! With the recent outbreak of COVID-19, Sorrento SLSC has a responsibility to ensure the health and safety of our members and community. Life Saving Victoria (LSV) has implemented additional precautionary actions to mitigate and protect staff, clients and volunteer members, as much as practical, and we will be following their recommendations effective immediately. LSV has published a number of new circulars to ensure clubs are protecting members. The circulars ...address club activities, facility use and patrols. As you may be aware all club activities are suspended. This includes the End of Season Celebration and the End of Patrol function. At this stage Patrols will being going ahead as observational. Patrols are to be reduced to a four person maximum and all patrollers may only be aged between 18 and 65. NO FLAGS will be put up for the remainder of the season. In accordance with LSV's circulars, club access will be restricted to essential activities only. There will be no access to club facilities for members unless they are on patrol. This means access to boards for free surfing, showers, kitchen facilities and storing any bags in the club house will be prohibited until further notice. We ask that all members respect these guidelines in order to best protect the community and our club.
