22.01.2022 Lockdown for Metro Melbourne/ state borders closing In response to continuing significant increases in new corona virus cases, the Premier announced today a six...-week return to Stage 3 restrictions for residents of Greater Melbourne (including the Mornington Peninsula but not Geelong), and Mitchell Shire north of Melbourne. Community sport is to close, though tennis and golf are still allowed. We have been advised that croquet is classified as a community sport, so croquet clubs in the Stage 3 restriction area will have to close. Additionally, travel across State boundaries to and from Victoria is to be subject to isolation requirements. According to the ABC, new limitations to be imposed include: No visitors to the home Meetings in public restricted to two people (except those in the same household) Cafes and restaurants return to take away service only Weddings limited to five Funerals limited to 10 plus those officiating The restrictions officially commence at midnight tomorrow night (Wednesday 8 July 2020) and will be in force for 6 weeks, to 17 August 2020.

12.01.2022 A recommendation by a fabulous GC players himself Lionel Tibble... I would like to take the opportunity to make a bit of a recommendation. A good Croquet friend... of mine Stephen Custance-Baker has recently put a lot of time and effort to formulate a book for all of us out there who play Golf croquet. The book is designed around the tactical side of the game and really does have a lot of 'oh yeah I never thought of that' moments. Stephen is an experienced tournament player, playing off of a - 2 handicap. He is also a Grade 3 coach and a referee for both forms of the game. All added together makes the book very informative.
