24.01.2022 Hi guys, please take the time to fill out this survey and have your say in what you would like to see happen with the land in Rye. Your voice is valued!

21.01.2022 COMMUNITY MEETING this THURSDAY 20th APRIL, 7.30pm @ Rye Civic Hall (opposite the RSL) Guest speakers, footage of the site, ideas submitted to date. A chance t...o have your say. Please share. Background information on the site. Prologue & Zoning 1.1 To be based at French St, Rye - currently zoned as Public open space (PPRZ) Generally large in size - range of visitors facilities and or unique conservation or heritage features, normally attracts people from a wide catchment including tourists. 1.2 The site is owned by Mornington Peninsula Shire Council and we are seeking a Peppercorn lease to set up a triple bottom line social enterprise cooperative. 1.3 History This site was an old night fill tip site currently being partially utilized by dry fill. We have liaised with MPSC in regards to waste contamination at the site - & believe that there is no significant ground contamination and that the site is under utilized. Vision Statement: 2.1 To Develop the French St Site into a central networking hub for a sustainable all inclusive community connection point, under a yet to be decided name, as an ongoing community asset. The proposed initiative also seeks to build stronger community links between diverse local cultural groups to intergrate and promote broad well-being issues. This requires the need to include cross cultural, cross gender and include all age groups in order to enable real social inclusion within the broader community. The description of enterprise is a broad spectrum distribution channel. It would also function as a community hub - working within a triple bottom line ( environmental, social and financial). 3. Mission Statement: 3.1 Southern Arm acknowledges the Boonwurrung peoples culture and spiritual attachment to this region. The Boonwurrung believe that all things live in unity and that the relationship to the land is based upon respect, obligation and interdependence. 3.2 To be a channel for philanthropic organisations, government and the corporate sector - to fulfill their needs to develop community connectivity and development. 3.3 To facilitate projects in an interactive, adaptable and innovative manner; whilst enabling our community to exercise stewardship. 3.4 To promote Culture, Education, Environment, Arts, Social, Well-being & Health via the creation of a vibrant Community Space. 3.5 To regularly engage diverse community needs. 3.6 Establish a ‘Friends’ group at the site.
