21.01.2022 Not everyone is YOUR customer. Holy wow right?! And here’s an even bigger truth bomb, you gotta be ok with this! Can you spot your customer? I can. You need to identity who they are - pick up a pen my friend and lets do this.... Write our in detail who your customer bestie is. BE VERY SPECIFIC. Hint - she’s not a Mum with kids and car. Well she might be but hear me out. How old are her kids? What does she do for work? What are her struggles? What does she do on the weekend? Where do you find them? Online. Ok, but where? Do they shop on Next and Etsy? Who do they follow on Insta? Where else do they hang out online? Insta is the cocktail party of social media. Once you e found them you need to.... Identify their pain points. Humans require food so grocery shopping is not the answer. What about, in between her 9-5, kids, ambitions and partner she needs a break. Those ready to go family meals are a hit in her house. She looks like she’s slaved away for hours and there’s a houseful of happy tummies. What are their triggers? Does your ideal customer buy your product because she has feet... or does she buy them the feel beautiful and a new pair of shoes trigger this fecking amazing feeling? It’s a reward for something she’s achieved? What a way to give her a high five. Identify the buying journey. Whilst I sit a my kitchen bench to make the majority of my purchases this is NOT what I mean. Does she see something a blogger/influencer has posted and HAS to have the item? If so, she’s clue me through to the site for more details. Credit card at the ready. What a way to identify your customers. And for those who have objections or tell you your price is too high - work with them to re-iterate how you solve their pain point and what you offer. If they still have objections - THESE ARE NOT YOUR CUSTOMERS. Focus goes where the energy flows. Now hop to it friends.
19.01.2022 Struggling with what to post today on your socials? Got your back! Sorted! Do you feel like you’re constantly bogged down in the vortex of what to post? Sometimes it’s a damn challenge to find something fresh when you’re posting everyday. ... Quality content that attracts your ideal audience and keeps them in the loop is key. A scatter gun approach won’t work. You need to use a mix of posts to best serve your audience. At the end of the day you want to add value so they’ll become your social media bestie. My fave biz posts: INFORM - help them understand what you do, why you love it and how you’re there to help them. SELL - your product/service and how to purchase. How does it support them, how do they use it. Highlight the value of your product/service. Shout it from the rooftop. This is about getting your dream in the hands of others. QUIRKY - have some fun. Entertain and connect with your audience. You want them to relate to you, the face behind the brand. Nothing like a sneak peek for the sticky beaks with a #bts ENCOURAGE - engage them with questions and interact with them. Work that relationship so they fall in love with you and what you do. Simple right? If you need a helping hand with the constant neediness of your socials, we can sort you out. #workfromhome #laptoplifestyle #savvybusinessowner #sortedsaisarah #freelancingfemales #createcontent #growyourbusiness #instaforbusiness #smallbusinessowner #worksmarternotharder #bossladymindset #virtualassistantau #virtualassistantservice #laptoplifestyle #soletrader #smallbiz #smallbizlove #surfcoastsmallbusiness #torquaysmallbusiness #supportsmallbusiness

12.01.2022 Oh lordy, F on a Facebook post ... . So what does it mean when someone types F in a Facebook group? In short, it means they want to stay close to this post but let me sprinkle around some knowledge gold for your hump day. . If a certain thread on Facebook really blows your skirt up and you need to know what’s going down, rather than clogging up the feed and joining in this distracting practice our friends at FB have made it super simple to get a notification of a discussi...on without making you looking like an F fool. . Get un-Fd option 1 - turn on your notifications for the group as a whole. . Get un-Fd option 2 - turn on your notifications for a specific discussion or thread by clicking the arrow (or dots) next to the discussion and hit turn on notifications. Easy peasy. . Whilst typing F may be a simple way for you to stay abreast of a chat you’re keen on the notifications for the poster will certainly be well, (I’ll let you fill in the blank). . Are there any quirks you see on FB that you have tips for? #facebooktips #smallbusiness #smallbusinessgeelong #smallbusinessbendigo #smallbusinesssurfcoast #sortedsaidsarah #torquayvic #womeninbusinessaustralia #womeninsmallbusiness See more

12.01.2022 Motivation low? Working from home has its own challenges. If you’re a social butterfly and an extrovert this WFH business might have you in a funk instead of thriving. Here’s my tips on how to get you through:... Get up at the same time every morning. This will help you set up your day and likely allow you to squeeze in some time for exercise, walking the dog or if I’m honest an extra long insta scroll. Start your day with a coffee/tea and some quiet time to set your plan and intentions. Have a set routine. Keep it realistic for yourself and your lifestyle. Get dressed in work clothes. Do what keeps your new normal more like heading to work. Schedule breaks - avoid responding to emails outside of business hours. As there’s no distinction now between office and home you need a break to switch off. Get some fresh air, have a stretch... if you’re feeling extra keen chuck a load of washing on. Stay away from distractions. I’m looking at you Netflix. There are so MANY more options to avoid work at home. Switch your phone to aeroplane mode, hide the remotes and fight the endless fridge grazing. Communicate - it’s important in the current climate ... and generally when working remotely, for employees and employers to keep in touch. Keep communication open and honest. Don’t got MIA during work hours as it can cause misunderstanding and delays to projects. Failing that... if you’re really flat why don’t you try the Pomodoro technique. I swear by it and you’ll find yourself super productive. The Pomodoro technique is a fantastic time management skill developed by Francesco Cirillo in the late 80s. The idea uses a timer to break down work into intervals, traditionally 25 mins, separated by short breaks. Each interval is coined as a pomodoro, from the Italian word tomato after the tomato shaped kitchen timer Cirillo used as a uni student. Often just 25 will be enough to get you started and you’ll be into your next round before you know it. What time management technique or method do you find works best for you? #sortedsaidsarah #virtualassistant #vaaustralia #workfromhome #smallbusiness #torquay #3228 #virtualassistancebusiness #womeninbusiness

07.01.2022 Here’s the truth. You want customers and clients to start showing up? Hashtags are where it’s at. Love them or hate them these little guys are an integral part of your social media posts. A post with at least one Instagram hashtag averages around 12% more engagement than those without. Sound like it might be worthwhile creating a hashtag strategy for your business?... Here’s some tips to get you start loving on the tags: Use relevant hashtags : this gets your posts in front of your ideal client/customers. Include your product or service, community, location and niche. Switch up : avoid using the same hashtags for every post. This will tap out your reach and potentially open your account up to being flagged by Instagram as spam. Not just for your feed : Add them to your stories as well. You can pop 10 of these beauties on each story. Shrink them and make them the same colour of the background to blend them in. Size matters : choose wisely friends. Tags with millions of posts will very likely mean your post gets lost in the noise. By all means still use them but try and focus on tags with fewer posts. I’m with the banned : did you know banned tags are a thing? Desk is one of the least offensive then we move to the NSFW ones. Insta associates these with spam. Rolling out a banned hashtag will mean your post won’t appear in search results. Check your tag isn’t on the list by using the search function. 03.01.2022 How many brain tabs do you currently have open? Overwhelming right?! . The amazing and remarkable Lorraine @lorraineremarks recently shared that when she investigated with her business manager what percentage of people responded to their initial enquiry she was shocked to learn 50% didn’t even acknowledge her reply. At all. 50%. . As a small business owner and coming from a heavily customer focused sales background this number blew my little mind.... . What’s holding you you back from closing a loop with someone? Is it awkwardness of a conversation you don’t want to have, an objection that’s grinding you or that you’ve put it on your to do list (and well haven’t yet found the time to do your to do’s). . Getting back to people who are waiting on a response (think meeting requests, play dates, a Marketplace listing query) closes the loop for them both mentally and energetically. Yep, it’s off their plate physically and mentally. . I’m not going to lose sleep or burn brain calories (one of LM’s fave sayings) over someone who hasn’t replied and I certainly don’t need sugar coating. . Truth be known, most people would rather just hear from you one way or another so it’s off their radar. Case closed. Loop closed. . I’ve made the note to close out a few open loops today. Why don’t you do the same? Sprinkle a little bit of that magical positive karma around and maybe we’ll see the favour returned. .
