10.05.2022 Hi everyone my instagram has been hacked and lost access to it. If everyone can report it in an attempt to get it removed and I’ll start again that would be great thanks, any messages you receive from that page aren’t me

21.04.2022 A recent board handover. This board was aptly named the blood sugar suckerfish referring to the first line of the title track of the 1991 album. Thanks @flea333 @chilipeppers

09.04.2022 Used board for sale. 9’6 by 21 7/8 by 2 5/8 bonzer. This is a phenomenal surfboard that works well in small waves big waves and everything in between. It has a chined bottom edge and will transport you to parts of the wave that you rarely travel ( typical of bonzer surfboards) full timber veneer construction, countless hrs. The bonzer runners need the tips repaired but otherwise tip top condition, retail $3000, will let go for $1500 thanks

21.03.2022 To everyone who has a board order with me at the moment I really appreciate your patience, this years been absolute chaos. Installing garage doors, building houses, failed motor swaps in the main wagon and rebuilding another so I’ve actually got something to drive and that’s just half of what’s going on. Boards will be out for end of year holidays and a couple pretty close to the finish line now, I really enjoy making boards but finding it physically impossible to get the shed time required.Once again really appreciate your patience thanks very much

18.03.2022 The inner workings of another full timber veneered one taking shape. Just trueing up the bottom and adding vee where needed before adding strategically placed concaves

08.03.2022 7’2 by 22 1/4 by 3 1/8 full cedar veneer ready for glass

23.01.2022 Really love the effect of these overlapping/ feathered joins. This was a piece of driftwood and wanted to keep the weathered ends instead of neat butt joins

22.01.2022 @stephs_fabrics_by_the_sea opened today and I made this table and board for the shop. The brief was, she wanted something that represents broulee, so first and foremost it was all made in broulee. The board has a deck veneer which is made from driftwood I picked up from sandmines at broulee. The bottom is glassed in fabric that Steph supplied from her shop, the table was built with timber from a demolition on candalagan drive. I set the board up on old glassing racks of mine to represent that it was made locally. First Order for the year, thanks for the opportunity

22.01.2022 Top veneer isn’t dead centre in the tail as pictured here, you have no idea how much that drives me nuts! Do like the multiple strips layed up for the swallowtail though

20.01.2022 A photo taken in my glassing bay by @deandampney . Dean takes incredible photos and is a keen surfboard enthusiast. Great to talk to someone who speaks the same language, I’m sure most people switch off when you start rambling with surfboards

18.01.2022 A 6’6 ready for basalt bottom n rail lap

13.01.2022 Outside of hull all sanded n ready to glass. You may notice that the colour of the strips are quite random and some are not full length nose to tail, that’s because this is made entirely of recycled cedar, same as my Surfboards’s, so I was just using what I had in my pile

12.01.2022 Pooch approves boards ready for pinlines

09.01.2022 A few under construction

08.01.2022 This 7’0 twinzer is up for grabs, it’s suitable as a wall hanger as this was built in my r&d period and it was sealed in epoxy but not glass which didn’t suit the hollow rail which is a shame I love the look of the timber in this one and it surfed great. $500 and it’s yours. I put so much work into these so it’s not often they will come up this low( RRP new $2490

08.01.2022 Feeling rather jubilant for my first canoe is all assembled ready to plane n sand. I designed the shape and pretty much just eyeballed the curves on the jig. All components have been milled by me from reclaimed cedar. I hope this is the first of many, have been thinking of more economic ways to do it that would use less space to build, more scrap timber and less premium lengths and most importantly less time. Still heaps to do but stage 1 complete

05.01.2022 Trim time, all part of the prep before they get stuck on. Handmade fins

01.01.2022 6’6 by 19 1/2 by 2 5/8 bonzer5. A personal board for the season. This one feels incredible, came out really light despite the amount of reinforcement in it. It has a 2mm cedar deck inlay with a flax patch above, then a double 4oz over. Bottom is 4 oz basalt and 4oz clear over. Glass ons, as always is the case for me, made with driftwood, cedar, basalt and centre is cypress. The point of balance of this board is what really has me exited, as its balanced right between the feet, yet all the meat is under the chest for paddle. Tried something new with a black fade to pinline on the deck. All handmade

01.01.2022 Mid build inspection. A lot of planning goes into these boards and it shows. I’m finding it important, especially in these big boards (this ones 8’6) to have it balanced right. Where I put the rocker apex, the widepoint, and the foil critical. This one has a healthy amount of volume under the chest but it’s sweet spot Is further back in between the stance, to give easy paddle and a big board that’s easy to manoeuvre, not just a paddle machine. Best of both worlds. High wave count and high stoke to the customer, oh and it looks good and he will probably pass it on to his grandkids. Bespoke timber surfboards
