25.01.2022 I deliberated hard over whether to create window splash backs. Many people say it's hard to keep clean. But my love for natural light won the debate, and infact, it's not that bad to keep clean. When we first had our kitchen renovated (by the amazing @1design.construct) there was an ugly bare fence at full view . This messed with my world. I always like to suggest greenery greenery greenery indoors and out. We already had a Creeping fig along our front fence line, ...that was at the time roughly 3m off the outside of our kitchen. It's a very narrow pathway along the house so was limited in choices. Almost 2 years on, and we now have full green view from our kitchen, and it's making its way in view from the scullery down the line. It's the simple things like this that makes the difference towards my mental state It's a known fact, that if you feel blue? Then see green! Note : Although this creeper offers many pro's such as no need for stringing wires as it has a sucker type attachment and great for hiding ugly fences. However can ruin wood or other materials, plus can also get out of hand if you don't tame it! Lucky I have #soulmanstyling to take care of that @ SoulBird Styling See more

08.01.2022 MOOD BOARD MONDAY I recently had the pleasure of helping a client, make the best use of their family room, a space they had been stuck on what to do with, for some time. It needed to reflect the unique and quirky character of the home and the retro and vibrant style of the owners. After a chat about the best use of the space, ensuring it would suit their family of older boys, it was research time! Part of my job that I am most passionate about, is that I take the time to fi...nd out what is best suited to each client. The colour, the function, the style, no matter how big or how little the budget may be.... All of this is taken into consideration. I like to get inside their heads, whilst finding out what makes their heart sing. Everyone deserves a beautiful space that reflects them. A space that they can call their own and is unique just to them. P.s I can not wait to see this exact rug in their home!!! See more
08.01.2022 You know those moments when your at a thrift market and you spot something from a distance, your heart starts to race, sweating palms. Could this be the one? You fasten your pace incase anyone else has spotted it too. Then sure enough it is. You ask the question ... "how much?" Music to your ears price, you offer less, cause that's just what you do. You agree on a middle price, and walk away, rug under arm with a little skip in your step. Happy days
