03.05.2022 It’s all in the little, ordinary, every day things, my loves

27.04.2022 Somewhere deep down, you remember yourself as the Priestess, the bringer of magic and medicine for your tribe. Before they made you walk the long road to the village pyre, before they claimed your power and sneered at your intuition, you were the one whom they came to when their children were dying, when their crops were failing, when war came to their door. You were the one who spoke to the spirits, who called upon ancestors, who made balm for their wounds from the gifts of... the forest floor. Remember now, that your magic is in the marrow of your bones, in your blood, in the spells you still know how to cast. Remember now, Wild One, because the world is awakening and will need your ancestral wisdom. Remember now that you once walked this earth as wild as the dragon that sleeps beneath the earth until you call upon his fire and transformation. You will be the one who will speak to the wind, who will shake angels from the stars. It's you, Woman, you. Feel that awakening coursing through your veins. Don't look behind you, to see if I am calling someone else. It's you. Image: Harper Kendall/IG Words: Monika Carless @harperkendall #taurusnorthnode

21.04.2022 My loves, Do you have trouble finding to space between the trigger and your response? Do you fly off the handle? ... Do you avoid conflict at all costs? Do you compromise your needs and self sacrifice to keep the peace? Does you mind completely go blank in times of stress and tension? Do you swing between high anxiety and over-performing to complete exhaustion and burnout? Join me tomorrow night to learn all about STRESS & REACTIONS: - understanding the neurobiology of the stress response (aka your gingerbread man) - the "Four F's" of responding (fight, flight, freeze, and fawn) - how this links to your attachment style and your response to conflict - AND how to regulate yourself back into a calm state. 23.01.2022 How incredible is this?! Forget not that we are of the earth; that we are nature too... And if we slow down and look closely, we will see the connections all around us

21.01.2022 We can change our world for the better, not through the use of force, but by developing inner peace. It may feel like a huge task, but peace must be created by ...humanity, who are a collection of individuals. If one person creates inner peace within themselves and shares it with ten other people and each of them does the same we can imagine influencing all 7 billion human beings. Let that be our #PeaceDayChallenge See more

19.01.2022 How sweet are these little ones They show us exactly what many of us feel when we are meditating, however practiced we are: peacefulness and stillness, fidgeting and restlessness, falling asleep, thoughts like is it over yet? And I wonder what everyone is doing?!

18.01.2022 23/100km logged so far Why is this important? Whilst pandemics happen approximately once every hundred years, never has it happened in the world we live in today where:... more people live alone than ever before not nearly as many as people are connected to, and supported by family, community and religious groups as once was the case our elderly live in ages care homes, more than ever before our youths are harming themselves more than ever before 1 in 4 Australians were already reporting feeling lonely BEFORE this global pandemic 1 in 5 Australians experience symptoms of mental illness BEFORE this global pandemic 1 in 8 Australians were dying from suicide every day BEFORE the pandemic We are still in the midst of this crisis and it’s going to be some time before the full social impact of this situation fully comes to light. We need to keep doing as much as we can to support each other through this. This is just one more way that I can help. I’d love it if you can me make a difference. 18.01.2022 My loves, These 20 subsidized sessions per calendar year come into effect THIS FRIDAY -9th October 2020. These additional sessions will be in place for two years. Medicare has never before permitted this many sessions for a general mental health presentation.... Please make use of this!! And be sure to encourage your loved ones, friends, colleagues, employees - EVERYONE - to access support as well. And remember- psychology/mental health support is not just for times of crisis and demise; it’s also for helping you to adapt to change, build resilience, to tap into your potential, to grow and thrive Big love, Dani

17.01.2022 My loves, R U OK? Today is #WorldSuicidePreventionDay... Matt Haig wrote a book called Reasons to Stay Alive. I highly recommend it. He offers a very real and personal account of living with mental illness. You don’t have to do this alone. Please, check in on your loved ones. And please, allow yourself to share your truth if you’re not okay. Allow us to catch you. Big love, Dani

15.01.2022 Great news announced in the Federal Budget today Thank goodness for that! #mentalhealth

14.01.2022 Forget not that our existence is part of something far bigger, deeper, and vaster than we can yet imagine. I know 2020 has been grueling for so many of us, and that some of those difficulties will not end simply with the beginning of a new year. As we go into this change of year, remind yourself that you too can be a radiant and luminous being even when the world around you may be dark. ... You never know who your light will touch Big love, Dani

11.01.2022 Happy new year, my loves! Fun fact about me: I used to have a pet cow as a teenager Her name was Lady and she looked like this beauty below. I used to feed her apples and carrots every afternoon from the deck until she (accidentally) but my fingers ... Have you had a random pet at some point? Dani

10.01.2022 For those of you walking this path...

08.01.2022 Yesterday was #worldmentalhealthday As you know, this month I’ve committed to walking 100km to raise awareness and funds for mental health. So far I’ve covered 45km! This weekend I hiked through the rainforest and swam in the rock pools (no one said it had to be walking laps, right?!)... This is just one more way that I can help. I’d love it if you can help me make a difference. Click the link below to make a donation Your support is gratefully received, Big love, Dani #mentalhealth #onefootforward

08.01.2022 My mom had a lot of problems. She did not sleep and she felt exhausted. She was irritable, grumpy, and bitter. She was always sick, until one day, suddenly, she... changed. The situation was the same, but she was different. One day my dad said to her: - I've been looking for a job for three months and I haven't found anything, I'm going to have a few beers with friends. My mom replied: - It's okay. My brother said to her: - Mom, I'm doing poorly in all subjects at the University ... My mom replied: - Okay, you will recover, and if you don't, well, you repeat the semester, but you pay the tuition. My sister said to her: - Mom, I hit the car. My mom replied: - Okay daughter, take it to the workshop, find how to pay and while they fix it, get around by bus or subway. Her daughter-in-law said to her: - Mother-in-law, I come to spend a few months with you. My mom replied: - Okay, settle in the living room couch and look for some blankets in the closet. All of us at my mom's house gathered worried to see these reactions. We suspected that she had gone to the doctor and that she was prescribe some pills of "I don't give a damn about 1000 mg." She would probably also be ingesting an overdose. We then proposed to do an "intervention" to my mother to remove her from any possible addiction she had towards some anti-tantrum medication. But what was not the surprise, when we all gathered around her and my mom explained: "It took me a long time to realize that each person is responsible for their life, it took me years to discover that my anguish, my mortification, my depression, my courage, my insomnia and my stress, did not solve their problems but aggravated mine. I am not responsible for the actions of others, but I am responsible for the reactions I express to that. Therefore, I came to the conclusion that my duty to myself is to remain calm and let each one solve what corresponds to them. I have taken courses in yoga, meditation, miracles, human development, mental hygiene, vibration and neurolinguistic programming, and in all of them, I found a common denominator: finally they all lead to the same point. And, it is that I can only interfere with myself, you have all the necessary resources to solve your own lives. I can only give you my advice if you ask me and it depends on you to follow it or not. So, from now on, I cease to be: the receptacle of your responsibilities, the sack of your guilt, the laundress of your remorse, the advocate of your faults, the wall of your lamentations, the depositary of your duties, who should solve your problems or spare a tire every time to fulfill your responsibilities. From now on, I declare all independent and self-sufficient adults. Everyone at my mom's house was speechless. From that day on, the family began to function better, because everyone in the house knows exactly what it is that they need to do. Author: A HAPPY WOMAN!!

08.01.2022 I’ve logged 95km! Only 5km to go before I hit my target of 100km Would you like to contribute to mental health research and resources? If so, follow the link below. Any support is gratefully received ... Big love, Dani

06.01.2022 This is so brilliant! Often when we are having a hard time, even daily chores and self care can seem impossible. What’s great way to make it feel more achievable! Remember, done is better than perfect

03.01.2022 My loves, will you help me out please? I’ve committed to walking 100km in October to raise awareness and funds for mental health. Mental health reportedly affects 1 in 5 Australians, but I dare say that’s an underestimation. ... Suicide is the leading cause of death in Australians aged 15-44. Although I work in mental health and support others every day, I’m doing this to not only raise funds and awareness, but as a commitment to my own mental health and well-being. I’d be appreciative and grateful for whatever support you may be able to extend right now. And if you want to join, follow the links and you can sign up too. Big love and immense gratitude, Dani

02.01.2022 For those of you that need to hear this today, and every other day, you are worthy

01.01.2022 Forget not that the earth delights in your bare feet and the wind longs to play with your hair ~ Khalil Gibran When was the last time you stepped outside the walls of your home/office/car and immersed yourself in nature? ... This is your reminder and invitation to enjoy the beauty that is all around but we often overlook, take for granted or forget about Big love, Dani

01.01.2022 It takes real strength to support people with mental illness This is a raw and candid conversation between two best mates about the impact of mental illness on their friendship and their work. Often, when things get hard, when the dark clouds engulf a loved one, people don’t know what to do to fix it so they step away. We live in a culture of fixing and achieving and getting outcomes so it makes sense that we step away when we can’t do these things. ... But what we really need in those times is for you to stay present, to hold space for us, to love us as we are, and as explained so well in this video - to see the symptoms as separate to who we are. Because this may not fix the problem, but it sure as hell helps. Please have the courage to speak to your loved ones about how they really are and how you can best support them when they’re not feeling okay. It’s so important. And to those of you already showing up like this, deepest gratitude to you - you’re gifting your loved ones with a priceless gift of unconditional love and friendship Big love, Dani
