25.01.2022 You are a bad ass business owner that has protected yourself to feel safe and empowered to grow and thrive in your incredible business. ...do you need more reasons than that? Okay; here are a few more on why you need contracts in your business...so SAVE this post as your reminder.... Most importantly they are an . ( !). If potential clients are difficult in the early stages (onboarding)...they'll be difficult the whole time. So protect your inner energy, your stress levels and weed out those potential nightmares at the very start. . It's always best to set your boundaries up front and in writing before you start working with a client. It's hard to establish boundaries after the fact and it'll save those awkward conversations later on. . Be mindful that the advice that you give...might not be what the client hears; so you really don't want to be accused of wrecking Karen's marriage! . Your programs, courses, ebooks, content, graphics, photos etc. , . Investing in a really good contract can help you save so many problems (lawsuits, conflicts, disputes) later on. Here's the thing...you don't expect that the worst will happen to you. But you're not immune from it happening (I've seen it time and time again!) Contracts are a beautiful support system that allow you to feel that you're protected and your ass is covered. So save yourself the time, stress and money and get your contracts in order! I've been seeing this consistent narrative online were "coaches" are encouraging people to ditch business plans in replacement for using their intuition; that business plans are "outdated, old and stuffy".... This is TERRIBLE business advice. You have likely heard the dire statistic that 8 out of 10 business fail within the first 18 months. Yup! That’s right 8/10! One of the top 5 reasons these businesses fails is: . What this means is that without a plan you are at a higher risk of your business failing. Now, yes of course you can start a business without one; in the same way you can drive a car without licence....but it’s a pretty stupid idea! 15.01.2022 Does showing up online fill you with dread? It did for me too; and it’s a conversation I think I have with clients at least once a week. On Monday I had a photo shoot in my home; and whilst I logically feel okay with photos of me online, it STILL emotionally feels hard to have my photo taken.... My photographer asked me to put together an inspirational mood board for our shoot. I really struggled to do it, finding representation of women in larger bodies; living their fucking lives and being joyful - was like panning for gold! It’s like we don’t exist! And so, whilst my brand is soulful business... I found that in full acceptance of myself. I’m a representation that fat women exist; we can be wildly successful; we can have jobs that light our souls on fire; we can be happy and joyful; we can be fucking incredible humans. Our culture and beauty ideologies have created a world in which so many of us feel that we’re lacking and therefore, shouldn’t show up. Whether that’s because of our weight, height, skin; muscle definition, facial features etc. this toxic culture will have us feeling that some part of ourselves is not good enough and needs to be changed so we can be accepted. So I want you to know that...this feeling is not your fault; you are so beautiful and accepted exactly as you are; and (when you’re ready) I can’t wait to see YOU!

14.01.2022 So, your Yoga Teacher has just announced she’s now a Business Coach! Lots of people are calling themselves a Business Coach and I gotta admit I’m a little worried. I totally understand, my industry is currently unregulated. All you need to do it set up a Squarespace site and an Instagram page and bobs-your-uncle....you can call yourself a Business Coach.... But here's the thing, I did not wake up one day and feel bored in my admin role and decide to be an online Business Coach; I'm not a failed Crystal Healer who has decided to now tell everyone else how to run a business; My first experience of running a business isn't the one that I'm a Business Coach in. BEFORE I BECAME A BUSINESS COACH I HAD EXPERIENCED... 28,800 hours consulting. 2095 employees and contractors hired, managed and supported. 550 training courses and speaking engagements. 102 young professionals mentored. 35 different industry sectors. 16 CEOs and BoD trained and mentored. 3 successful businesses built. 2 degrees. THIS EMPOWERED ME TO: Feel that I was experienced enough to call myself a BUSINESS COACH. Be certain that I could support and guide ANY business that crossed my path. 12.01.2022 What will people think... Does this little gem come up for you; when you’re making that push to fully show up in your soulful business? Repeat after me: it is not my job to manage your perception of me.... This does not just apply with work colleagues or strangers...but everyone in your life, including your mother, sister or spouse. It is NOT your job to: ...say yes to anything you don’t want to do. ...make others comfortable at the expense of your own. ...accept poor behaviour to ‘keep the peace’. ...pretend you’re not hurt, offended, upset or overwhelmed by someone’s actions. ...always be polite and agreeable. ...be thin, pretty, attractive or always put together. ...convince anyone into liking you or justifying your own decisions. It is YOUR job to: ...feel all your emotions. ...set boundaries for your own health and well-being. ...show up for yourself. ...learn and evolve. ...make decisions that align with your soul and values. It is your job to be the beautiful imperfect human you are.

10.01.2022 Can we please get a moment of silence for all the amazing ideas we have lost to perfectionism. I know that you have your own graveyard of good ideas...I know this because: I have too, and We discuss this in your coaching sessions.... When we talk about these ideas, its not uncommon to hear that: You have convinced yourself, that no one would EVER be interested in your idea, let alone purchase it. People would just laugh at you if you launched it. You're not skilled or smart enough to make that offering. It just wasn't the "right" time. This fear SUCKS! If we're being totally honest, the fear of not being "perfect" is robbing others of your talents and gifts. YOUR people missed out! They missed out on a beautiful gift that only YOU could offer them. So next time you're second guessing yourself and your ideas beautiful, please know this: ; there is never going to be the mystical idea that won’t have the fear. The fear is usually an indication that you’re doing exactly what you should be doing. ’ ; your offering is not for you, it’s for someone else...and they NEED this. In times of fear, think about your people. Overcoming perfectionism and showing up is 100% possible; but if you need love and support, I am right here. See more

09.01.2022 When did you last check your contracts? You likely set them up in the early days of your business; I know many people sneakily copied, pasted and modified them from random people and places. Trust me I understand!... They were an expense you didn't have budget for when you were starting out. You weren't 100% sure your business would be profitable. The legal world seems scary, intimidating and confusing. My question to you is.... ' ? The safety of your car is checked each year in your MOT, Services and Green Slips....so why wouldn't you do the same with your beautiful business? So, here is your homework: Read your current contracts like you would a text from your crush [re-read every word and over-analyse everything girlfriend]. Do they align with you? Identify where you have legal gaps in your business. Formulate a plan to cover your ass and plug any legal gaps. If you're unsure or feeling stuck...never fear - I'm here to help! Conversation Architect Change Magician There is a current trend to "step into the CEO of your business", "work on your CEO mindset" or "have a CEO day" and it's utterly nonsense! ! You do not report to a Board of Directors. You are not an employee. You are not executing someone else's business strategy and vision. You have full power and control of your business and direction at all times! *** ! OWN it, LOVE it, and STOP diminishing your light because someone has convinced you that a CEO is cooler, more important, or more successful! Tag in a biz bestie that needs to hear this. See more

04.01.2022 The only Ds you need in your business right now! I know that you're wanting to finish off the year strong in your business; close a few more sales....but you're also feeling a little stressed that the silly season is closing in. Hello overwhelm and exhaustion!... You don't need to force or push anything in your business; not every project has to be FINISHED by Christmas (I would argue zero actually do - unless you're santa ). All you need to focus on is creating space to slow down and to care for yourself; despite the WANTS of your family, your clients, your boss, your customers. Pouring from an empty cup is going to leave you burnout and sick; then my lovely one, you’re not going to be able to help anyone. Here is a little exercise I would love you to try...to create some pockets of rest and renewal time. 1 Get yourself a piece of paper/journal and a pen. 2 Write a list of EVERYTHING that is in your head that you know you need to-do (big, small, long term, note it all). 3 Once your list is complete take a few deep breaths and ground yourself. 4 : Cross out everything on your list that you don’t actually need to do. 5 : Note everything on your list that you could delegate to someone else. This could be a partner, child, friend or even an outsourced option such as a gardener. Who could you ask for help? 6 : Note everything on your list that can be deferred. This could be next week, next month or next year; yes organising that pantry might be a good idea but it could probably wait right? 7 : Anything that is left on your list is your new to do list....which should be significantly smaller than when you started.
