12.01.2022 Hey guys, just wanted to touch base with you and let you know how things are going..as you can see below Ive had another big hair change , there's nothing better than 'new do' to change things up. Ive been pretty quiet on 'social media' the last couple of months, I'm finding I'm spending less and less time in this space..firstly because its a tough way to engage with followers these days, with all the censorship happening now, and secondly social media has become such a nega...tive place to be that I just dont get on here very often anymore, except to post the odd nail pic. I'm still working happily from my home base, absolutely grateful for my gorgeous clients . Lately I have been getting a lot of messages and calls from potential clients wanting to get nails done the day they call, or requesting nails on Sundays. Whilst I understand people work, and only have certain days and times to get their nails done, I have a busy schedule, and clients need to book ahead. So please dont leave it till the last minute, if you want a set of quality nails, a forward booking is essential. The fastest way to get me is a call or text, 0447933739, the old school way , you can leave a voice msg as I dont answer whilst I'm with clients, and Il get back to you asap. Fb messages are quite unreliable, and i often dont get a notification till 24hrs after youve sent it, so dont use it if you want a quick reply. 09.01.2022 Ive had clients ask me whats the difference between Soft Gel enhancements and Acrylic enhancements. One of the main features of Soft Gel enhancements is in the "flex technology of the Soft Gel, which is so much more gentle on your natural nails than acrylic. We all get rough on our nails, and accidents happen. If you have acrylic, they are tough and durable with no give. This is why clients like them, but the downside is that they are heavy on the natural nail, and... if you catch them or bang them they can rip off, taking your own nail along with it..this happens often with nails that contain an ingredient called Methyl-Methacrylate, or MMA. MMA sets acrylic like cement, making it super hard to remove, and it causes the most trauma if you catch a nail, its more likely to rip off your natural nail. Thats just one problem with this toxic ingredient, and even though its illegal to use in nail products, a lot of salons still use it to get durability from their nails without having to create proper shape and structure in the sculpting.. it also makes it very fast to apply when you only have to put on a flat layer without much shaping and filing. So "Soft Gel nails are like new technology. They are super strong when on, due to their perfect structure already built into the full tip, and lightweight like your own nails. The Soft gel allows the tip to flex and have subtle movement without breaking, so it acts very much like your natural nail. If you cause really hard trauma to the nail and rip it off it is not likely to rip off your own nail like in the pic on the right. (Not my work). My client sent me a picture of her soft gel (left pic) after she had been super rough, and caused trauma to the nail..it came away without any damage to her natural nail. This is much easier to replace than growing back a natural nail over a painful damaged nail bed.

06.01.2022 Im getting quite a few question about the Soft gel enhancements so heres some info that should help you decide if they are for you. Q: are they soft A: no, they have some flexibility but they are super strong and durable. The term soft in the name is because they are a made of, and adhered to the nail with soft gel, which can be soaked off as opposed to hard gel which will not soak off.... Q: will they last as long as my acrylics A: yes, I have seen them last easily 4 weeks & over, however growing them out that long is not recommended as it puts stress on your natural nail. 3 weeks is optimal unless your nails grow very fast Q: Do I get them filled A: no, they are easily removed each time by filing them back to the base layer of gel and putting on a full new set. This means no damage to your natural nail, and you can choose the same length and shape, or go for something different each time. They are safely soaked off if you wish to have a full removal Q: Can I get nail art A: Yes, they are fully customisable Benefits *No odour and minimal dust *Super strong, yet lightweight like your natural nails *Variety of lengths and shapes to choose from Price? $60 for a full set which includes 1 colour. 04.01.2022 Something a bit different than nails today. I was feeling it was time to give myself and the whole house a good smudge with white sage today. Who else uses smudge? I absolutely love it. Over the years Ive made a lot of my own smudgesticks, experimenting with different plants, flowers and leaves..also creating fusions with essential oils. They all have different energetic properties.... Smudging has a really long history, and is mainly used for space clearing, getting rid of negative energy from yourself and your environment. Australian aboriginals use our native eucalyptus leaves the same as American indigenous people use white sage. I actually find eucalyptus leaves to be particularly potent for clearing energy, and they are super easy for us to source. They can be used green or dried. Its very easy to gather them up into a bundle and wrap tightly with string to make your own native smudge..and much cheaper! you can let it dry naturally before using, its a bit easier than getting the green leaves to smoke. Then to use it you light it up, and after the flame dies it will smoke away and you waft the smoke throughout the rooms in your house, and through your energy field with the intention of cleansing and clearing negatives energies. We can all do with some of that right now. Have a go and see how it makes you feel. Happy smudging
