22.01.2022 Reflection: What Mask do you wear? Why do you feel the need to hide and bottle up those emotions. ~ Why cant we begin to trust our voice and speak our truth with the intention of love and remove the masks that constrict us from being our authentic self? Who are we afraid of? What are we afraid of. Isnt it all just an illusion? ..... All these questions came to mind today after a week of massaging (Lomi lomi). So many people block their tears, hide their pain, fight the inte...rnal negative dialogue - all, whilst trying to hide behind their Mask. But the body tells a different story. I am so grateful for the opportunity to work in this field - as a massage therapist I have been taught many modalities; remedial, sports, deep tissue, relaxation, Balinese, hot rock, yet Lomi Lomi I believe is to be the most profound - working on the spiritual, emotional, mental and physical energy fields allows the mind to surrender and the body to receive. One of my clients today brought me to tears -so much pain and sadness all tightly entwined around the heart chakra, whilst the mind fought hard, the body and heart surrendered and tears flowed allowing "Clarity" and "Hope"to visit. 21.01.2022 Whilst being informed today that another beautiful client from the nursing home has passed away I am left once again contemplating Life, Death and LOVE! LIFE- is to be lived - lived in the present moment. Away from the guilt and sadness of yesterday and far from the anxiety and control of tomorrow. Living is about being in the moment - anything less is "just surviving". Death - is releasing of old and the beginning of something new - letting go of fear, of sadness of our i...nsecurities and self doubt. And LOVE is the link between both realms, it is the key to happiness and fulfilment to forgiveness and healing and to the understanding of the sacredness of breath- the life force that lives within each of us - the first breath we take as entering this world and the last we expel as we leave it. As Christmas approaches its a gentle reminder to again love the people that we call family and friends and embrace the real gifts that Christmas represent - Love, Life and letting go! 02.01.2022 Many years ago I worked in Corporate Banking, a role I enjoyed but knew was not fulfilling my purpose, today in my massage studio I was overcome with absolute gratitude for my journey thus far. The last 7 years have provided me with such Joy, much learning and sharing. To work with my clients is a gift I will treasure deeply. Words can not quite describe the work I do. Our western mindset is conditioned to use language to describe emotions, people, places, events and situ...ations. Yet sometimes words can not describe the miraculous! Being a witness to Divine intervention and understanding that I am only the conduit for this healing to take place, keeps me humble and grateful. Today I am filled with gratitude for all those that have walked my path, those behind, beside or in front of me. To the many teachers, Kumus peers, colleagues and clients -I honour you for your wisdom and trust.
