24.01.2022 Well we are more than half way through the Beginners Mindfulness Meditation Course. What a delight it is to explore this wonderful way of being with participants of the classes. I am grateful to be a small part of their journey in being mindful. This week we are looking at mindfulness of the emotions - always a popular topic!
22.01.2022 I thought I'd create these little cartoons to look at some of the reasons people give for not meditating (even if they think they might like to). Whilst they may appear valid reasons, I will try to address them a little.

I am offering a Beginners Class (for those with little or no experience of meditating), an Intermediate class (for those who have some meditation experience) and a one day workshop on mindfulness meditation. 17.01.2022 Hello. I have been very remiss about posting of late - lovely long summer holidays! Happy New Year to everyone. I am just back from a 6 day course in Positive Neuroplasticity in Sydney with the wonderful Rick Hanson. The material was truly excellent and I am really looking forward to integrating it into some of my courses. Mindfulness Meditation classes will be starting again on the week beginning the 16 February. I will be running two 6 week classes - a beginners and intermediate one. I will post details towards the end of this week. I really look forward to seeing you all again soon and to meet some new participants. Lorna

16.01.2022 Well I am feeling very lucky. I love teaching. I love teaching something I'm passionate about. I love helping people learn new things. And I get to meet some lovely new people too! Thanks to my lovely group of participants of the evening class which started today.

11.01.2022 Just to let you know that there are a few places left in the Beginners Mindfulness Meditation Courses that are due to start October 21 (day class), October 23 (evening class). The course has a different relaxation every week as well as meditation. So it allows you that precious gift of self nurturing which is so important for our wellbeing.

07.01.2022 We so often put ourselves at the end of a long list, caring for kids, family, partner, friends or our job before ourselves. But if we care well for ourselves, we are often in a better position to care for others. It's that old adage of the airline crew, put on your oxygen mask first before you take care of others. What do you think?

03.01.2022 Term 1 has started - what a great class of eager intermediate level students! Can't wait to get stuck into this week's topic - excessive thinking. It's certainly something I do but am learning to curb the habit through my daily mindfulness practice.
