18.01.2022 There is SO much discussion about what is the right diet for us humans. #Keto, #Paleo, Vegan, Blood Type etc. The #foodwar is loud, in our faces, occupying thought and conversation real estate during our day. Our eyes and ears are bombarded through TV to #podcast, to posters in the streets, all trying to tell us what is right (and most of the time what is wrong)! This war is everywhere and food is being blamed for our suffering, our deaths, our planets demise and our sadne...ss. But what if the food we eat, is symptomatic of our conscious choice making ability/process? What if we are energetic victims, having a Flexible morality, that’s convenient (@damien_mander !! Awesome quote! @gamechangersmovie ). That is, living a life that is littered with contradictions and hypocracy. Or Are we energetic prostitutes, making choices for a return (money, acceptance, status, superiority), to stay In Vogue with the current trend, not really asking ourselves is this what I want and need to nourish me?. If your #overweight, have #addictions, struggling with #chronicdiseases, reoccurring ailments, #depression and #anxiety or think the world sucks and life is hard! Have you considered that the choices you make, contribute to your physical and emotional suffering? Why do you eat the food that you do? And then ask yourself, How does it make you feel when you buy it, eat it and rest with it inside you? If the human consciousness on the planet is rising with every generation, could this mean that our awareness and our relationship to #food also evolves? Our relationship to the world has changed since caveman times, maybe our relationship to food needs to catch up? I’m not saying #Vegan #Plantbase is THE right option, what I’m saying is this... Maybe its about the why you are choosing what you do. Once you understand your why to a diet/lifestyle, it won’t seem like a chore or that your missing out on things. You will feel that you are respecting and honouring yourself by nourishing your body with the foods that is a conscious choice. Then you will be in alignment with yourself, it will be a way of life not something you have to do. It becomes WHAT you do.

01.01.2022 When I was a #newmum I often thought about my new role...... and the question that kept coming up was now what do I do with this squishy?. I feed him, bath him, change, burp him, rock him and literally wear him more than a bra. So now what? After much reading and investigating I started to understand the #nervoussystem and how these mini adults will flourish. In hope that one day they will grow into well adjusted and emotionally resilient adults that will contribute to the ...world with courage, compassion and kindness. So here is my biggest lesson and one that I want to share with you! A feeling of safety promotes a healthy nervous system development, which is a platform for all future development. Which means? It’s all about nurturing their little nervous systems so that they can function and develop new skills in their life. It’s just like downloading programs on your computer, you need software to do all sorts of things (video, sound, print etc etc). So too do humans, our software programs are learnt (skills) and the best way to learn (a new skill) is to have an operating system (which is our nervous system) that is capable of handling this. So how do we get a capable operating system? The nervous system needs to grow in an optimum environment and this enviornment is all about safety. Kids nervous systems is the foundation and platform for future skills and development. Their nervous system needs to feel safe because it means that there’s less triggering of the sympathetic nervous system and dorsal vagal states. The FEELING of being SAFE to #kids is ALL that they need. This will then ensure that their neural pathways in their brains develop at exponential speed and that they aren’t being triggered into trauma where their nervous system thinks this is where they literally need to hide. Engaging by touch, tone, facial expression and gestures are all ways to show safety. Always think about their nervous system and how safe they will feel.
