23.01.2022 Monday Moves Its not all about putting more in your life...more movement, more fresh food, more...more...more. Sometimes its better to take some things out. Try taking a break from your phone, from TV (or even from the kids - not easy, I know), just for a few minutes to start so your brain can take a break and not have to work overtime all the time.... https://youtu.be/SxoOAQt6MXw



21.01.2022 Chronicles of a wounded warrior After 4 months, let's start winding it up. Physio is still happening...and probably will for a few more months until I hopefully reach an improved normal, not just a new normal (I'm already there). There is no preventative action you can take when you live an active lifestyle. Injury is almost (I said almost) inevitable, even when you eat for recovery, stretch, get regular massage, sauna, spa and hydrate well.... When it does happen the best thing to do is let the body take the time it needs to heal itself...it knows what to do, that's the way it was made. It may not be part of your plan, it definitely wasn't part of mine but it may be time to change the plan. Just a little.

12.01.2022 Monday Moves The best way I've woken up in a while... 10 minutes on the rower 15 minutes treadmill stretch (see video) 20 minutes swimming laps - felt sooo good to be in the water again... 15 minutes in the sauna Each one alone would be a workout, depending on the intensity you use. I did each at about 50-60% and sauna at 100%relax. In saying that, not only is sauna great for detox but also boosts the metabolism for some time afterwards because of the increase in blood flow.
