23.01.2022 We are beyond excited to welcome Eayana Music to our studio for a very special evening full of live music, breathwork, and meditation on Sunday 8 November 2020. I guarantee you won't want to miss this experience. Our spaces are limited as you know. Be sure to book at your earliest convenience as this event is filling up quickly. Just click on the link below to register. Here is a little info about Eayana that they wanted to share: Destiny bells chimed as Aimee and Zane spent... their first date playing bell drums together, inside a cave, nestled in the Blue Mountains of Australia. Since then they have been guided by the flow of life and joys of co creating. Surrendering to the call of their collaboration and combining their gifts to bring you EAYANA - light through song Breath-work is an incredible tool that is with us in every moment. When we practice sustained, rhythmic breathing our body releases C02 which is an acidic molecule. With every deep breath, we are alkalising the body. Breath-work is an incredible tool that is with us in every moment. When we practise sustained, rhythmic breathing our body releases C02 which is an acidic molecule. With every deep breath, we are alkalising the body. This has a number of wonderful health benefits including boosting the immune system, reducing inflammation and elevating your mood. We utilise the power of breath in our Sanctuary of Sound events so that our participants get the great health benefits as well as all those warm fuzzy feelings that come with it. Everything in the universe is made up of vibration. Including us! Music has the power to move us on an emotional but also physical level as our cells vibrate to the sounds we experience. This is a fundamental part of the Sanctuary of Sound journey. You can feel the vibration of the didgeridoo and crystal singing bowl move right through you, resulting in a harmonising and uplifting experience.

20.01.2022 Meet Simon -- one of our amazing yoga instructors: Sometimes people ask me "What is my Yoga style?". My reply has always started with "I trained in something more of a Hatha style static holds building strength with a focus on alignment but with ...". In the beginning of my Yoga career the "but with" was "but with flowing movement influenced from vinyasa styles and my personal Tai Chi practice". The "but with" has since changed to "but with understanding of anatomy and move...ment from remedial massage training" but most recently to "but with an understanding of overall coordination influencing and affecting available movement and flexibility from my Alexander Technique Teacher training.". Im pretty sure the "but with" will change as my learning and understanding changes though I think Ill be with the last one for a while yet. Learning never stops in life so I believe our Yoga practices should evolve with us too. Simon is a Yoga Teacher of over 12 Years experience as well as a professionally qualified Remedial Massage Therapist, Craniosacral / BCT Practitioner and Alexander Technique Teacher Simon teaches Wednesday evenings at 6:00pm and Friday mornings at 9:30am. Come and experience one of his classes...a perfect way to rejuvenate and feel more relaxed and centered.

20.01.2022 May we suggest a unique and unconventional Valentine's Day experience? Celebrating the love between you and your partner by connecting/reconnecting on another level is an ultimate gift. 19.01.2022 Wishing you a Happy New Year from all of us at Soul Tree Yoga Studio!

18.01.2022 A small group in our Monday afternoon Kids Yoga class! All the other students were sick ! We spent a bit more time today perfecting our asanas...look at the form in these gorgeous yogis

17.01.2022 A message from Simon--one of our very much loved and respected yoga instructors... Our Yoga practice can build us up, improve our mental clarity, flexibility and strength. But an effective Yoga practice also recognizes where you are starting from both generally (building your strength and flexibility gradually and sustainably) and "on the day" (current life circumstances and the season). Given the hustle and bustle of the Xmas and New Year season, with various Christmas gath...erings with work, family and friends it may feel too busy to be a restful holiday. All the more reason to keep your Yoga practice going (or even begin) in the lead up to Christmas. One of the wonderful things about Yoga is you practice as you are now in the moment. When Im feeling tired, I can choose easier versions of postures so that I still have the form of the posture (asana). When Im feeling more energised, I can choose harder versions of postures requiring more strength or simply holding the posture longer rather than moving in and out of the same posture (asana). When I practice Yoga as I am in the moment, I find Im always a little more refreshed mentally as well as physically. Come try this for yourself and find out what is possible. Simon is a Yoga Teacher of over 12 Years experience as well as a professionally qualified Remedial Massage Therapist, Craniosacral / BCT Practitioner and Alexander Technique Teacher.

17.01.2022 Term 4 of our Kids Yoga classes is slowly coming to an end. We started an introduction to inversions and the kids are loving it--I figured why not introduce some advanced yoga at a young age. Working towards and mastering the many variations of inversions requires strength, knowledge, body awareness, balance, concentration, and determination. I was so proud of each of these kids. They took all the information regarding safety and the numerous benefits of inversions then worke...d slowly to get into several poses with control and intention. I loved observing the burst of energy they received directly afterward! They were so proud of themselves. And as a result of the expenditure of energy, relaxation following inversions was even more serene than usual. Inversions, among many other benefits, are great to boost your energy and also give you a beautiful sense of calm! See more

10.01.2022 Where are you on your Yoga journey? Yoga Sutra 1.2 tells us that Yoga is the ability to direct the mind exclusively towards an object and sustain that direction without any distractions. This is meditation. Whether you have tried meditation before or not, this is a great way to deepen your Yoga practice. Exercise your mind as well as your body in this class. The aim of the postures (asanas) are not to challenge you physically, but to bring you into a comfortable and stable p...osition for sustained meditation. We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Paul OLoughlin, one of our incredible yoga teachers, now runs this class every Friday night at 6:30pm. What a perfect way to finish up a busy week and refresh your body and mind Book your spot soon!

09.01.2022 We are excited to announce that due to popular demand, we have added two new classes each weekend for the summer period (please see our full summer timetable attached ). The first class weve added for summer is on Saturday. Rosie will be teaching a Yin yoga class which will follow her regular 9:30am Flow yoga class. The Yin class starts at 10:45am. This is a great opportunity for those interested in taking a more physically demanding Flow class and then follow up with a slow...er, more relaxing class like Yin. What a great way to start your weekend! The second class we have added for summer is on Sunday with Anita. Anita teaches Yin yoga at 10:00am but due to an increase in class size and requests from students, we have added a second Yin yoga class! The second Yin class is earlier and starts at 8:45am. This addition is perfect for those early birds who love an early morning yoga class! Finally, if you are planning on attending a class, we would really appreciate it if you could try to book online for your preferred class(es) in advance so the teachers can be better prepared for class sizes. Thank you so much for your understanding :) We hope you all get a chance to enjoy these new classes!

09.01.2022 We just received another delivery for the STUDIO! More props! We're making some exciting changes in anticipation of reopening our studio doors!

09.01.2022 We have an incredible 2-day workshop on Chakra Balancing and Self Healing coming up very soon (Saturday, October 17 & 18 2020). Spaces are limited, so if you are interested, please click on the event below and register! Hope you see you there!

08.01.2022 We are beautifully unique! Everyones body is built differently: Some people have long legs, a long torso, short armseveryone has different proportions. Bone structure also varies from person to person, which means we can practice asana as much as wed like but at a certain point we may reach our limit in the expression of the pose. It is our privilege and adventure to discover our own special light so let us imagine alignment as entirely based on the individual performing... the pose. After all, if were wrestling with alignment, what does our thought process look like? In this workshop, we will explore a personalised, breath-centered approach to yoga to embrace our uniqueness, embody steadiness and ease and transform our practice for longevity. There are only a handful of spaces left....book your spot soon! Workshop date: Saturday 13 October 2018 1-4pm For more info and to book, email: [email protected]

08.01.2022 Were very excited to announce a Restorative Workshop with Anita on Sunday 5th May. Spaces are very limited. If youre interested, book your spot soon

07.01.2022 Just a reminder that Anitas last Restorative Yoga Workshop this year is on Sunday 8th December. The feedback weve received from those who have taken this workshop has been incredible. If you are interested, please book your space as soon as you can as there is only one spot left. Were definitely hoping to offer more of these workshops in 2020! Here is some recent feedback from her November Workshop: _________________________________________________ What an amazing experien...ce. We loved it. My husband was surprisingly so receptive to it. He said hed do it every week of he could afford it ...lol. I said to come to your class instead. I will absolutely take this workshop again next year or if you have it again earlier in the year. Thanks for paying such individual attention to all of us and treating us with such care. I loved the tea and eye pillows. Such a lovely bonus. I felt so good today at work while Mondays are most stressful. My husband said this was a great anniversary present ;) Youre a star Anita! _________________________________________________

06.01.2022 First of all, we want to thank you for the tremendous support you have shown to our studio and to our teachers in our first week back since our forced closure. We are so thankful for all of you! We have some good news! Last week we were restricted to a maximum capacity of 10 students per class. This week they have eased the restrictions even more and are now allowing 20 students per class whilst adhering to the 4 square metre rule and obvious social distancing. With the expan...sion of our studio, we are able to accommodate the allowed 20 students but at this point in time, we have decided to cap our maximum capacity to 15 students for the time being and for the comfort of everyone. We will ease into the next stage of a 20-student capacity in the coming weeks. We will send out another email to let you know when we make this change. Because we are still restricted and have a limited number of spots available per class, we strongly encourage everyone to book their class/es in advance to avoid any disappointment as we must give priority to those who have pre-booked before any drop-ins. We also ask that if you are unable to attend a class that you have booked, please cancel your attendance by logging back into the system and canceling your booking. It only takes a moment and this courtesy will ensure spots are freed up for those that want to book or who are on the waiting list for the class. We hope those of you that have been to the studio are enjoying the larger space and feel safe with all weve done to create a COVID-safe environment. We are so proud to announce that we are now officially approved as a COVID-safe studio. A safe and comfortable place for you to practice your yoga is of the utmost importance to us. We do not want anyone to feel concerned with anything except finding the perfect spot on the floor to place your yoga mat! For those of you that havent booked back in yet, we honestly cant wait to welcome you back! Thank you for all your support and understanding.

06.01.2022 May we suggest a unique and unconventional Valentines Day experience? Celebrating the love between you and your partner by connecting/reconnecting on another level is an ultimate gift.
