22.01.2022 Clients ask me all the time to "fix" them. This shows a fundamental lack of understanding of how healing works. First, you're not broken. Second, we do our own healing, and to try to put the onus on another is disempowering and can actually hinder your healing process.

11.01.2022 Artiste: Rachel Byler. 06.01.2022 & ~ Part III ~ The Womb Orientation: Shift your awareness into the pelvic bowl ~ bony landmarks are the Mound of V...enus (pubis) at the front, sacrum at the back, tips of the hip bones. Feel for the pubic bone, above that sits the bladder, two fingers width above that is the top of the womb. You may or may not be able to feel her depending on positioning (see Part I). Remember she’s a free floating kinda girl, held loosely in place by a host of ligaments, so she can get misaligned through too much exercise, running on hard surfaces, too much sitting, birth & endometriosis. We check position ~ forward, backward or tilted to the sides ~ whichever, we work through massage to optimise, easing menstrual flow, & reducing pain. It’s intimate work, but it’s equally joyful to honour the womb & belly of another woman. To show her belly love, no matter the size, the shape, the scars, the folds. And she responds & opens and can begin to flourish. The womb space can feel many ways ~ to full, too empty, absent, traumatised, fearful or in a state of shock. Circling and soft upward scoops, deep pressure, soft pressure, listening pressure, pulsing & visualisation, toning & mantra, are all designed to open, soften, to create awareness & connection, to awaken. And the ovaries, the seat of the creative spark which is then drawn into the womb to be alchemised before being actioned out into the world as a project, or creation. It can be difficult to physically feel the ovaries ~ think the size of a walnut ~ but it is possible to have an awareness energetically & we can release the fascia, tension & scar tissue to enhance energy & blood flow. It is hard to really imagine how this might be or feel until you have experienced this work for yourself, or you are blessed enough to offer it to another. To honour another woman in her vulnerability, her need, her pain, her loss is a true gift which rewards me and fills me each day; it fills my heart & my womb in equal measure. Womb massage is deep, it’s soulful, its blissful, it’s powerful but best of all it actually gets great results for lots of the conditions that modern women today may experience ~ physical, emotional, energetic, ancestral, karmic ~ I have worked with them all ~ we are here to heal ~ reach out ~ I'm here for you With @leoraleboff
06.01.2022 Surely it’s time to forgive yourself and come home. Back to your heart, your bones, your hearth and your nature. Wrap yourself in the wild medicine of your own... embrace. Rest, nourish and strengthen, knowing you have decided to forgive all that you placed into your own heart, when you didn’t know how else to do things. - Words by Brigit Anna McNeill Art by Josie Wren https://josie-wren.tumblr.com/ See more

03.01.2022 If you are sad and you know it.... All emotions arise from within us as a result of our experiences and need only to be felt, honoured and accepted. Our body records how we feel as a physical imprint stored in the intricate network of fibres known as our Fascia. Think of the membrane between the skin and the flesh of uncooked chicken. That's fascia. It is hollow and conducts information 1000 times faster than our nerves. In an instant, our physical and emotional response... to stress and trauma is recorded like a 'snapshot' and stored in our body until it is consciously felt, accepted, honoured and released. Happiness- no problem- we are encouraged and supported and rewarded for feeling happy. When the emotion is sadness, we are often encouraged, out of genuine care for our wellbeing, (and perhaps our well-intentioned care takers' own discomfort with sadness) to turn away from, distract, avoid or fear feeling sad. 'Bounce back' they say. 'Everythings ok' 'Get over it' 'Harden up' 'You caused it- what do you expect?' 'Stop crying' 'Cheer up' We sometimes don't grow up having the opportunity, support and skills necessary to truly feel, accept, honour and move through our pain. We are sometimes left, as adults, with backlog of unprocessed sadness, and this can manifest as depression. Feeling sad but not accepting the pain of sadness as an honourable emotion, Or not allowing ourselves to truly feel sad, without further wounding ourselves with what in Buddhist tradition is called 'the second arrow'- Shame. Shame for being sad. Shame for perceiving ourselves to be weak. Or feeling like we caused something or are to blame.Shame for not coping or moving on. Shame is a marker to show us where we are wounded. A beacon to sadness, to the pain that we have not yet processed. Because if we feel shame, we often do not allow, accept and honour our sadness. And so it remains within us. Mindfulness practices supports and developes the skills required to safely sit with, truly feel, accept and move through our sadness. Through non-judgment and loving kindness, clear perception and calm-abiding, we learn to be ok enough to slowly and patiently begin to sit with the pain we have previously turned from, avoided or rejected. The body is amazing. It layers similar emotional imprints over the top of each other. Grief is often recorded in the chest and pelvis. It is possible to release years of sadness by feeling into the original trauma, wound or hurt. The peace found in traditional, meditative mindful practice is profound, and not hard to do when you know a few simple skills. Learn to meditate in Weipa at the Revive Centre on Wednesday Nights and Sunday Mornings. PM me for registration and details.

01.01.2022 Yesterday I had the opportunity to talk Psoas with an orthopedic surgeon in Europe who reached out to me about this mysterious tissue. When I told him I thought... psoas was a messenger he said "of course psoas is a messenger from guts... ovaries.. kidney... brain circulation.. because of connections with the parasympathetic.. it also receives messages..when its degenerative or atrophied it consequently distends nerves that pass through the psoas... n. iliohipogastricus.. ilioinguinalis... genitofemoralic.. cutaneus fem lat.. n.femoralis..n.obduratorius .. it has an influence on the circulation of gut and enlargement of its wall - what directly involves neuroendocrine cells for the production serotonin in the gut..." This surgeon confirms what I have spoken about for 43 years...that psoas can become "dry" (exhausted) and shrink (atrophy) when it has substituted or been used to over-stabilize the core. Stretching does not create healthy psoas whereas hydrating through micro-movements and increasing the bio-intelligence of the proprioceptive system, especially found within the bones...does allow psoas to flourish. He sent me...a little gift in appreciation...not what I find exciting but thought you might... See more
