21.01.2022 Hi all. Hope everyone had a great weekend. Last week of term! It was great to see so many of my students out making Music in the community over the weekend. I had several students performing at Avalon Golf Club on Friday afternoon. Josh Armistead was playing his brilliant solo guitar compositions, singer and guitarist Aiden Coleman was fantastic as well. We finished up with the Year 12 boys from Mater Maria fresh from their last day of school. They are sounding great and Im... confident their HSC Music results will reflect that. I also heard that Asher McLean and The Rions did a great job as the support act at Avalon Bowlo on Sunday. I had fun rehearsing with the Village Jazz Band on Saturday in preparation for The Barrenjoey High School 50 year Anniversary on Saturday night. I finished of the weekend playing at Flourish in Avalon with amazing multi instrumentalist Bruce Allan Finally, if you havent checked out Wednesday night Jazz at Avalon Bowling Club its well worth the effort. We have been very lucky to have many of Australias top musicians playing there during the year and it is set to continue with some incredible artists booked in over the coming months. Ill be presenting a live and local night on Wednesday the October 3rd with a killer band of established and up and coming local Jazz musicians. Thanks everyone for another great term. Hope everyone has some fun scheduled for the holidays and I look forward to getting busy again next term. Ken
