06.01.2022 As a house concert host, you never really know what reaction to the artists you are going to get from guests. At my Carrum Downs House Concerts guests generally... sit quietly and listen to the music showing their appreciation for what they hear an sometimes sing along. Yesterdays event with Felicity Urquhart and Jeremy Edwards was a bit different.First Jeremy showed us why he is so highly regarded as an artist and a guitarist and he had us all laughing with his ability to make fun of his role of support artist to Felicity and other artists. Yet he is much more than that, a brilliant artist. Then there's Felicity. I am just amazed that given the sadness she has endured recently with the loss of her husband Glen, she gets up with Jeremy supporting her and has the whole room in stitches with laughter whilst delivering fantastic songs from her great album 'Frozen Rabbit' and some others I had not heard before. The room was full of laughter at Felicity's and Jeremy's observations on many things, and guests, many of whom were new to both artists, loved the music.We even had a couple of guests get up and dance, be it in limited space. Never happened before. Also, as I like to do at my events, we had a special guest artist perform a few songs. I like to give someone who may be less known or might just be an artist who is in the audience, a bit of exposure to new music lovers. Yesterday it was Sarah Catania who I first saw at an Allan Caswell songwriting workshop.She impressed Allan and all at the workshop. Yesterday she showed us why she is destined to be a very successful artist in the music industry. Wonderful voice, a great songwriter and has a natural ability to present her music. She, backed by her friend Tom on guitar ( Sarah also plays guitar, uke and piano), she impressed everyone in the room. I can't wait to have her back to do a full set of her music. I want to thank Felicity Jeremy and Sarah and all the guests for an event I will never forget. See more

02.01.2022 Della Harris at the Jetty Road House Concert in September. She was so good and ably supported by Rob Powell. One of the artists here in Melbourne who we should be very proud of. Can't wait to have her back in the house, hopefully with Jetty Road, because all who attended are asking for it.
