02.01.2022 the SACCL supported the establishment of an ICAC and wanted it to conduct investigations and report publicly as the equivalent bodies interstate do - any attempt to narrow its powers here in SA is a mistake. It is not about the person but the function. Further, if the ICAC wants to investigate parliamentarians for alleged frauds for claiming benefits where there is no entitlement should the body be hamstrung with changes to ensure we protect those very practices.
