24.01.2022 If independent retailers are pushed out of the market place who will stock SA brands and produce? Deregulation will make life hard for growers and greengroce...rs. Plus the big chains often stock fruit and vegetables and products from interstate. Driving small independent retailers out of business will also hurt SA farmers and producers because they sell SA produce. Visit stopderegulation.com.au to learn more and take action.

23.01.2022 The Liberals plan to deregulate shop trading hours will hurt SA owned independent supermarkets and help Coles and Woolies; who love less competition. Less competition means less SA jobs and higher food prices. Tell the Steven Marshall and the South Australian Liberal Party to change their policy; because you wont vote for higher food prices. http://www.sairetailers.com.au/

16.01.2022 *CLOSED BOXING DAY* I know, how dare we right? After our staff work 7 days a week, up to 18 hour days ALL December, why would we like to have 2 whole days off w...ith our loved ones? It's absolutely ridiculous that we even have to post this BUT the government would like us to be open & late night trade every other night over the holiday period! We will also be closing at 5pm Monday December 24th. Please think about small business and retail workers over this period, be patient in lines, plan ahead & shop during NORMAL trade hours. We love Xmas & being with our families or having a drink with friends as much as you do! All our holiday trading hours will be posted shortly. Thank you for your support. See more

15.01.2022 Is the State Government doing enough to support local independent businesses?

10.01.2022 The SDA is proud to support the Stop Deregulation campaign. Steven Marshall's plan to deregulate trading hours will hurt retail workers and take away valuable time with their family and friends on weekends and public holidays. Find out more at www.stopderegulation.com.au

07.01.2022 Great message from Manor Farm Meat Service, our independents support locals everyday. Plus the big chains often stock fruit and vegetables from interstates, small independents sell SA produce.

06.01.2022 The Liberal Government is continuing its relentless attack on South Australian small businesses by opening large international chains on boxing day. Our small independents will lose 40% to 60% turnover on Boxing Day. Changing public holidays will kill SA Shops, hurting SA farmers and workers.... Visit https://www.stopderegulation.com.au/take-action/ to send the Liberals' a message and support small business.

06.01.2022 "Stop doing this and start listening to small business," - Colin Shearing, Independent Retailers Association. Independent retailers have re-launched a campaign... against deregulation, saying small business will lose up to 60% of turnover as a result of the government’s decision to give the green light to suburban Boxing Day trade. 04.01.2022 Frank Pangallo (SA-Best), Tammy Franks and Mark Parnell (Greens), John Darley (Advance SA) and Peter Malinauskas (Labor Opposition Leader) have come together to oppose deregulation legislation introduced into the Upper House. Comment, like or share this post to say thank you and to support local small businesses.

03.01.2022 SA shoppers currently pay the lowest in Australia for groceries. But Steven Marshall and the South Australian Liberal Party plans to deregulate shop trading will mean we'll pay much more. Tell Steven Marshall: South Aussies don’t want to pay more for groceries. Read this article for proof SA currently pays less: https://www.budgetdirect.com.au//average-grocery-bill-stat

01.01.2022 HAPPENING NOW: Close to 100 people - mainly Millicent business owners - have turned out to a community meeting about the State Government’s proposed deregulati...on of shop trading hours across the state. SA Best says the Millicent community will suffer if the changes go ahead. But the State Government says deregulation has worked in Mount Gambier and it’ll work in Millicent too.
