25.01.2022 We will remember them...

21.01.2022 Charlotte gave Roy a hose down on the weekend after a lovely cart ride. He also loves a drink too!

20.01.2022 We had some Beary special helpers today. The sand filled weighted bears got to ride on Roy. Tiff introduced them to the herd. Then we had a leisurely trail ride. First time riding in 4 years for me. Grace was perfect.

20.01.2022 Thanks Cadence. Ben enjoyed his pamper session.

19.01.2022 Today a particular session focused on feeling fatigued and lacking energy. As we stood at the fence with Roy -this was him, I have never seen him do this in a session. He was kind of snoring....

19.01.2022 Thanks Nicole for our haircut today. Getting ourselves looking snazzy for our very important job on Friday. Such beautiful legs Roy.

19.01.2022 Since horses communicate their feelings and needs primarily through body language, they offer great modelling for people and an opportunity for feedback without judgment. Unpacking emotions while discovering a deeper awareness can have powerful effects across all aspects of our lives.

19.01.2022 Roy and Prinnie had the best day at Dalby Pony Club camp today. Roy loved showing the kids how to ground drive and long rein. They also got to demonstrate their favourite speed activity- cones course.

18.01.2022 Today we worked on a projecting experiment. Using paddock items to represent our 4 core feelings-Sad,Happy,Angry,Scared.Roy was then introduced to these creations by the client.

18.01.2022 The girls wanted a carriage drive this morning. So we prettied them up with hair do’s and went on a beautiful drive down the road. They are getting very good at harnessing up.

15.01.2022 I have just read on a rider biomechanics site that humming can help with regulating breathing and help calm your body down. We (Charlotte- pictured here)do our own version of humming, we sing the alphabet song. The vagus nerve is connected to the vocal cords so when you hum you stimulate this nerve. And what happens when you stimulate the vagus nerve- it lowers your blood pressure, decreases your heart rate and lowers the body’s reaction to stress. So there you have it! It’s possible to hum your way out of stress!

15.01.2022 From the pages of Charlie Mackesy. The boy, the mole, the fox and the horse.

14.01.2022 Today we received a testimonial from Kellie Anne who was happy for us to share her experience. "My daughter’s experience with South Burnett Equine Assisted Learning is one which, we have no doubt, she will remember forever. As we live out of town, we contacted Rachael to ask whether she might be able to accommodate us for a one-off session. Rachael took the time to ask me questions in order to establish my daughter’s strengths and areas of challenge, so as best to structur...e the session to meet our needs. What followed was an enriching, fun, educational and beautiful morning of memory-making: my daughter and her cousin Zoe had the most wonderful time. Despite an overcast morning and drizzling rain, Rachael and Peter couldn’t have made us feel more warmly welcomed. In the program itself, the girls learned about brushing and grooming, to posture and breathing, to riding the ponies, and connecting these learnings back to their own feelings and emotions. We all left feeling more grounded and self-aware. Thank you Rachael. Next time we are in Kingaroy, we’ll look forward to visiting you and your gorgeous (and very patient!) ponies again!" So grateful for your kind words Kellie Anne. See more

14.01.2022 Too many decisions for Roy here. Roll or eat grass? Let’s do both!

09.01.2022 All ready for our day at Bell SS. Can’t wait to meet everyone!

09.01.2022 Today Prinnie partnered with Paige focusing on being conscious of thoughts as they completed the obstacle course together.

09.01.2022 Staying grounded and connected. Supporting yourself in difficult times.

04.01.2022 Prinnie is loving the rain.

02.01.2022 All ready for formal

01.01.2022 Grace and Tiff working together on trust, teamwork and fun on the bridge.
