Earlier this week we put a call out for someone to help a struggling Milton retail store create a website and Suzanne put her hand up offering her time & services for FREE asking for nothing in return. Being able to sell online opens up the market to our local stores and gives them the chance to sell to an endless amount of customers; and having this created... for free is such a huge blessing! 22.01.2022 Have you been here? This gorgeous little store in Milton needs our help (and honestly, that will be so easy to do) They make the most gorgeous handmade soaps, jewellery, candles, cards and gifts AND they refurbish furniture .... Like many, this business has been running at a loss for several months due to the ongoing fire situation, road closures, blackouts, water outages and emergency evacuation orders. ... What can we do for them?? We can shop there!! And like I said - it's easy. I'm currently smelling the most beautiful handmade soaps full of natural ingredients - its divine <3 These guys also need bigger help. 15.01.2022 Just a quick update - WE NEED SPONSORS !! Life is moving on after the fire and for most local small business owners times are getting really tough. Without the income Summer holiday trade would have brought, things are really difficult.... We have received emails from businesses asking for financial help. If you are a business with a budget to assist PLEASE get in touch. Lets help these guys TODAY -> We have a beautiful local deli The Deli Ulladulla who has spent their time and efforts after the fires feeding those who'd lost their homes, raising money to help others, they even delivered meals to people when they were unsettled and not wanting to come in. They took over the Deli in April and after a quiet winter were looking forward to a massive summer. What they got were blackouts, smoke, blocked roads and mass evacuations... their December trade being the worst month so far and January about the same. Now these guys need our help. They are behind on bills and have an overdue electricity bill that is their main goal. WHO CAN HELP ? 11.01.2022 Business Profile.... The Treehouse Cafe Ulladulla These guys are strong believers in community and throughout these most recent hard times, have really walked the walk. They opened their doors to feed evacuees and volunteers when the fires were at their worst, donated money, time, food; and on other days closed their doors (instead of trading) so that staff were able to be home with their loved ones doing what needed to be done.... Like many in the hospitality/ food industry the evacuation of all tourists from the South Coast hit these guys badly. They have missed the peak earning time for the entire year and will now struggle to recover. They are doing everything they can to keep their wonderfully smiley staff employed but they really need your help. If you, or someone you know, is in a position to help WE WANT YOU !!! 09.01.2022 I know I’ve been a little quite here lately but life’s a juggle isn’t it I’ve been working in the background receiving your emails of help requests, and offers to help and trying to match up businesses where possible. We’ve had a few beautiful successes which is hopefully helping provide just the slightest reprieve for some and we WILL NOT STOP ! ... Please keep spreading the word sending people our way - generous sponsors and those who need help! 07.01.2022 HELP ! We have a business calling out for some help and I just know there is someone out there who can give it. A local retail store was saving and planning on Summer income to pay for a new computer (which would enable them to work on their SMM campaigns, website development, streamline invoice & ordering systems etc)... Any funds they had saved for this business expense have been used to just keep doors open and staff employed. PLEASE HELP -> do you own a computer store? Work for a chain store that sells computers? 01.01.2022 WEBSITES **** Do you know a website designer wanting to help? Do you know someone who works for a big company with an IT department full of tech staff who could lend a few hours help? We have a lovely local store REALLY struggling. They have been trying to desperately save enough to pay for a website to move some stock to an online store, however have had to use anything that was saved to cover basic opening costs now. Working 7 days a week and losing money by the day is a co...mmon story we're now sadly hearing. These guys have beautiful stock and just need help getting it online and out there for shoppers to see!
