23.01.2022 Let’s not kid ourselves, we all love attention and envy for how beautiful our horses look and perform in their discipline. I have seen so many horse clients spe...nd their hard-earned money on an array of skin products / medications / hair analysis / shampoos etc, over the years in a desperate attempt to treat hair / mane / tail loss, intense itching, scarring and hyperkeratinisation of their horse’s skin. Everything I do as an equine veterinarian is to challenge, treat and overcome diseases for horses/pony’s well-being and longevity. I have formulated a three-tiered equine skin product range which came about due to both of my horses developing intense itch this summer. I watched them rub their forelocks almost completely out, they were rubbing and chewing their tails, rubbing their faces and their ears to the point of bleeding. Then the mozzies went away and I continued to watch their grief..... I took this challenge, I looked it in the eye and I gave it a wink. My ‘Transformative Skin Range for Horses & Ponies’ includes: Tier 1: Dermo Nourish Tier 2: Dermo Allergy Aversion Tier 3: Dermo Itch Relief Dermo Nourish is ready to go now. Take charge of your horse’s skins dryness and order this now. See pictures of my delighted client’s before and after photos.

17.01.2022 Here’s a question For those who like to argue that you do not need sedation , a well flushed out mouth, bright lights and mirrors to perform good quality denti...stry in horses. This was a routine dental in a 16-year-old horse who has had regular dental care. How do you think I would’ve been able to find this example of periodontal disease if I had of just been blindly filing the sharp edges in this horse? And even if I did happen to find it how would I have treated it and measured the depth and curetted the pocket and flushed it out properly and medicated it??? The food that was trapped in there smelt like faeces and was jammed into that pocket6 to8 mm. If left untreated it would have been driven deeper and deeper creating a deep pocket that would eventually start to loosen the tooth or cause deeper infection. And all this is painful in the short and long term to the horse. The simple answer is that IT IS IMPOSSIBLE for ANYONE (no matter how much of a good con person they are to convince you how truly amazing they really are ) to detect , investigate and treat periodontal disease (the most common of ALL diseases in horses) in an unsedated horse. So please do your part to improve welfare in horses now by LIKING and SHARING this, hoping that one of your horsey friends who swear by good old fashioned dentistry (aka no sedation, no light, no mirrors, no idea!) will see it, read it and maybe reconsider how good a caretaker of their horse’s welfare they really are???

04.01.2022 Testimonial for SCE’s Transformstive Skin Range. The glossiness and health of the skin shines through. No more itching. A great result for horse and owner..... (and what a beautiful horse owner and super talented artist she is).

02.01.2022 This little paint horse is need of help to restore nourishment back into her skin to invite hair regrowth. She has began her Dermo Nourish Skin Treatment today. It can be tricky to apply creams and ointments around eyes so my best trick is to use a paint brush to apply the product.
