24.01.2022 Alongside Beyond Blue, the SCP team welcomes the start of Anxiety and Depression Awareness Month. This initiative invites all Australians to work together to break down negative stigmas associated with anxiety and depression. According to Beyond Blue's research, community awareness of anxiety and depression has grown over the past decade, however, stigma associated with these common illnesses remains high. As a result, many people are too embarrassed or ashamed to seek help and don’t get the treatment they need. It is time to change this, together! If you or someone you know needs extra support, do not hesitate to visit the South Coast Private Hospital website or beyondblue.org.au for helpful resources and services.
