18.01.2022 The final round of the South Gippsland Junior Golf Series will be at Leongahta Golf Club on Sunday 13th December 2020 (9.30 tee off). Presentations and BBQ will occur after the event.

05.01.2022 Round 8 Results (Leongatha GC) SG Junior Golf Series 2020 ========================= A big thanks to Leongatha Golf Club for hosting Round 8) and providing BBQ facilities for our Christmas break-up.... We had 9 juniors play from 3 clubs in almost perfect conditions and some took advantage of that to post some very handy scores. === 18 Hole Event === Today's outstanding round was brought to you Levi Hickey and the numbers 42 (points) and 30 (daily handicap). Thomas and Billie also had honourable mentions with scores of 39 and 38 points respectively. - 42 pts (30 Y), Levi Hickey (Woorayl GC) - 39 pts (20 P), Thomas Simon (Leongatha GC) - 38 pts (26 Y), Billie Wrigley (Korumburra GC) - 34 pts (36 R), Aliesha Wrigley (Korumburra GC) - 33 pts (18 Y), Beau Elkin (Leongatha GC) - 27 pts (26 Y), Josh Smith (Woorayl GC) - 23 pts (36 Y), Lachie Gill (Woorayl GC) - 22 pts (36 P), Shem Hickey (Woorayl GC) === 9 Hole Event === We had one participant who played 9 holes. - 12 pts (36 Y), Zac Evan (Woorayl GC) === LADDER === Billie's lead jumped to 20 points and is the overall winner after 8 rounds with 192 points (best 5 results). Great scores by Levi Hickey saw him leap frog into second place with 172 points, but not to be outdone was Thomas Simon who also leapt into second place with 172 points. CONGRATULATIONS Billie Wrigley, Thomas Simon, Levi Hickey and to all those who participated. What an amazing bunch of young golfers and more importantly and amazing group of young human beings. They should all be very proud of themselves. A big thank you to everyone that helped and supported these youngsters - parents, grandparents, siblings, etc (you know who you are) And from my point of view I am very grateful to all that help I received in organising these events to our future golf stars - Elly Berryman (Woorayl), John Payne (Korumburra), Michael Grist (Woorayl), parents, and family (thansk Fiona !!) Thank you to the clubs that supported the juniors by accommodating us on their courses - Korrumburra GC, Woorayl GC, Foster GC, Phillip Island GC, Lang Lang GC and Leongatha GC. Finally thanks to South Gippsland Golf Inc (the district association) for funding the juniors in the development for golf in the region, now and into the future.
