24.01.2022 We're getting the roster ready! We hope your families have stayed well and safe during the last month or so. We have been missing seeing you all and I am sure you have missed the Toy Library! While we cannot reopen in the same capacity, we have received permission to open up for returns and offer a new "mystery box "collection service. We will send out a detailed email about this process in the next couple of weeks. It will be in the form of a survey asking questions to prepa...re for your return as well as information to help us select great toys for you. To achieve all this, we will need to continue with our usual Saturday morning roster. As such, Tara will be doing a roster for term 2. The first Saturday will be the 9th May and will end on July 4th. Please email Tara at [email protected] with any Saturdays you cannot do. Your role during these duties will likely be one of the following. count, check and pack away toys from the previous week. These toys will have been cleaned by the borrowing member before returning and will have been in quarantine for 7 days. make selections for families that have requested a mystery box. In both cases, you will largely be working on your own with limited contact with people and always with social distancing in place. 07.01.2022 Thank you so much for your support and enthusiasm during the last 2 weeks as we trial a new way to provide toys to our community. The good news is that the new returns and 7 day quarantine process is simple and swift and the mystery packs are working really well! Members are spending less than 5 minutes returning and collecting and we have had great feedback on the mystery packs. As such, we have made the decision to continue with only this process for the remainder of ter...m 2. Here are the key points to note: -You will need to please complete a very short online survey before every visit. - For future reference, you can access the survey here - In the week of your return date, you will receive an email with a link to this survey and be asked to complete it by the end of day Thursday prior to your return. (Please look out for these emails - they may go to your "updates" folder.) - The new timeslot is Saturdays 9:45am-10:30am. - Toys must be thoroughly cleaned prior to return. - We would like to ask that, where possible, children do not join you to return and collect toys. - Social distancing measures must please be adhered to at all times. For your reference we have attached our committee document outlining the covid-safe process to follow for Term 2 shifts. Please also check out the video showing how it is all done. In this difficult time for all of us with the ongoing and devastating impact of Covid-19 (Coro...navirus), it is now more important than ever that we support each other as a community wherever (and however) we can. With panic buying prevalent, and staying at home becoming a necessity, we know that a lot of families have been struggling to get even their basic groceries. That is why we have revived an iconic piece of WA history: the Brownes Dairy Milko. A few important things to note: - To ensure safe social distancing, we will notify you our estimated arrival time. Please leave a laundry basket (or similar) outside your door for the Milko to place your order in, and we will advise you when you can come out to collect it. This is to protect both you and our Milkos. - This is a TRIAL. We have limited capacity for this, so please bear with us as we learn and grow.
