20.01.2022 In My Life John Lennon 1965 Beatles Rubber Soul Album Release 3rd December 1965 There are places I'll remember All my life, though some have changed Some forever, not for better... Some have gone and some remain All these places have their moments With lovers and friends I still can recall Some are dead and some are living In my life, I've loved them all But of all these friends and lovers There is no one compares with you And these memories lose their meaning When I think of love as something new Though I know I'll never lose affection For people and things that went before I know I'll often stop and think about them In my life, I love you more Though I know I'll never lose affection For people and things that went before I know I'll often stop and think about them In my life, I love you more In my life-- I love you more John Lennon was just 24 years old when he wrote these words. Read them, consider them, think on their meaning and reflect

01.01.2022 Today, Thursday the 8th of December 2016 marks 36 years since John Lennon was shot down outside The Dakota building where he lived with his family on Central Park West, New York City. He had turned 40 years of age just eight and a half weeks earlier on October 9th. His gift throughout his lifetime and his legacy since has been a body of songs and music, artworks and philosophical, acerbic and humorous observations on life in the modern age. How many of us do not know at least... a handful of tunes and lyrics which sprung from his fertile, passionate and sometimes irreverent mind. His music, his art, his humour and his soul were at various times inspiring, challenging, damning and loving.... Remember him as the man he was, flawed and fragile, passionate and powerful, caring and condemning. Remember his spark, mourn his loss and pray that one day we may see his like again.... Just Imagine.......... See more
