17.01.2022 COVID -19 Update Taken from the latest Cricket Victoria COVID-19 Update 25/9/2020 2. New information over the past week... i. Spectator group limitations (the initial ruling from SRV announced of No spectators at senior cricket on Sept 17th has been overturned following CV advocacy. We are awaiting the new DHHS rulings due Monday to adjust for the VERSION 2 plan ii. Equipment sharing is now possible subject to cleaning protocols (detailed in VERSION 2). Initially banned by CA and silent at State Government level. A great result as this would have caused major challenges / costs especially at junior level 3. Ongoing advocacy / clarity being sought by CV from State Government i. Access to school ovals (currently ruled out by Department for Education & Training in guidance notes to schools until further notice) ii. Seeking exemption for umpires to have a face covering as optional whilst the match is in progress on OHS grounds iii. Seeking an increase to the group sizes for training from 10 to 11 iv. Seeking an increase to the number if groups per oval from 2 to 4 for Under 12 (aligned to the age for face masks use) v. When any form of training can commence in Melbourne vi. When wickets can commence preparation in Melbourne (& whether a permit will be required) vii. Clarity of whether a paid cricket coach can cross the metro / regional border for work purposes (subject to work permit) N.B.: No State Government decisions have been reached on these items yet 4. Resource timeline VERSION 2 i. The Premier will announce changes on Sunday 27th. DHHS are likely to release their detailed rulings on Monday 28th. We will review the rulings and our draft content to ensure they align and currently plan to have the new VERSION 2 released by c.o.b. on Wednesday 30th. Accuracy will take priority over speed to release though.

As we are not yet in daylight savings, Thursday ni...ght training will run from 5-6pm to ensure we get a session outside before dark. For those enquiring about apparel, this will be available for purchase after training on Thursday! Tuesday 24/9: Net session at Saxon, Croydon from 8-9pm Thursday 26/9: Outdoor session at Colman from 5-6pm
