23.01.2022 Congratulations to two of our club members - Braydon Bella & Sam Rollins - who represented in the U13s South West Country team in the DD&SW Challenge Cup South East Country were the overall winners for U13’s Jeff Anderson cup.

21.01.2022 As most of you would be aware, DD&SW U12/U13 male squad training was unfortunately washed out last weekend in Toowoomba. Given there is no squad training for these age groups this weekend, South-West Country are planning to have an optional training day, this Sunday the 23rd August, in St George at Rowden Park from 9am-2pm. The day will consist of a net session, fielding drills and possible game (will depend on numbers). A BBQ lunch will be provided. Could you please register interest by sending a return email or message to either Darryl Langton or Phil Lockwood.

Probably 6pm at Chinchilla Rec Grounds Club house We will attempt to set up a conference call for those that can't physically attend to phone or video in on. We had a really successful and easy season last year thanks to the number of people willing to put up their hand. Keen to see that happen again this season. Many hands make light work.

16.01.2022 Huge turnout with over 60 players attending from every association for the South West Country regional selection trials held Sunday 29 November. Players showed their best form over 6 hours of cricket with some excellent talent on display. Thanks to our sponsors, selectors, parents, St George Junior Cricket for hosting and Phil Lockwood for organising. Junior representative cricket is thriving in South West Country.

As Queensland clubs warm up for the return of community sport, the Palaszczuk Government is ensuring the comin...g season is COVID-safe, with a $51.3 million Return to Play recovery assistance package. Local sports clubs and communities have been impacted by COVID-19 and most will now need financial support to get back into action and importantly having all the right checks in place. The $51.3 million COVID-safe Return to Play package consists of: COVID SAFE Active Clubs Kickstart with grants of $2,000 for up to 7,000 clubs $150 FairPlay vouchers to cover sign on fees for 73,000 children from low income families Active Restart Infrastructure Recovery Fund with grants for minor works of up to $20,000 for clubs Active Industry Fund providing $10.8 million across 77 state-level sporting and recreation organisations.
