20.01.2022 South West Extreme Cowboys 2020 Summer Jackpot Cancelled! With restrictions to large gatherings likely to continue long term the committee have made the decision to cancel our 2020 race. Please keep an eye on the page for future club days as things improve across rural Victoria

19.01.2022 How Exciting!! OUR NOVEMBER 8TH CLUB DAY IS FULL!! Details will follow in next couple days of riders, times, and covid essentials we all need to follow! To those who missed out, fingers crossed to restrictions lifting before December, for a bigger and better club day! But, if not, stay tuned to our page, because we love to see our riders have a good time within a club of supportive members

18.01.2022 We've held off for as long as possible, but with extensions to the border crossing restrictions we have made the decision to run our AGM on Tuesday 14th of July at 7 30pm at the Cally Hamilton. South Australian's and anyone who isn't comfortable with being in public are invited to join us virtually. As many would know our pubs spent a couple of months closed and are now restricted with numbers severely limiting their income. The club would appreciate if everyone who attended... ordered a meal or at least a drink to support the Cally and thank them for making their space available to us! 11.01.2022 This weekend was Nationals for EXCA....held in Ballarat, 2 of our current members and a past member, but local, qualified to compete in 2 grueling days of bloody hot weather in an indoor arena! Congratulations to Annette Read, bringing home 1st and a buckle in Intermediate; Amy Carpenter, 4th in Non Pro and Pro and a cash prize, and Velia Hartley for an amazing run, no placing, but, hey, she made it to nationals! SWEC are so proud of you all, aspire to reach out and go far!!

11.01.2022 Save the Date! After the success of our 2019 Pool Party Jackpot Race we will again be running a race on the first Sunday of December. More details to come as the year continues, but keep this weekend free in your diary for a day out with your ponies. We could all do with something to look forward to!... Stay safe out there team

07.01.2022 Club day attendees! As of Monday all Victorians must wear a mask when outside their own property. This applies to the Orford indoor arena so please bring a mask and wear it any time you are outside your vehicle, including while riding. We look forward to seeing your snazzy mask designs and the top half of your beautiful faces next Sunday! Remembering that club day is now full so unless you’ve already booked and paid we will see you another time.

07.01.2022 Happy New Year Cowboys and Cowgirls Due to a mix up with dates (this president can be a bit blonde at times ) we have decided to run a club day this Sunday However, I will only come down and set up if we can get at least 10 riders!... Harness Racing Club Time to be confirmed as I gain interest and numbers Please confirm, and only if your going to honour your confirmation please Harness Club Cup Day is next Sunday 17th....watch this space as we seek volunteers to help them out Cheers Pa-lin

06.01.2022 Expressions of interest! SWEC are looking at running a whip cracking clinic with Walter from Walter Whip and the Flames if we can get enough interest. The clinic would run on August 8th and 9th at the Orford indoor arena. Covering basic whip cracking and desensitisation of horses through to target practise and tricks. The clinic will be $175/ horse and rider plus $35 for arena hire. Camping will be available at $10/ person. In regards to COVID the organisation of this clinic will be very flexible. Walter’s flights will be booked at last minute and refunds will be provided if he is unable to make it. To fit as many of you as we can we will split the day into two sessions 10am to 12pm juniors and novice riders... 1pm to 3pm experienced riders Numbers will be limited depending on covid restrictions at that time so you will need to message the page to book a spot. 01.01.2022 Hiya! The sun is going to shine with a balmy 20 expected for our 1st Club Day back after what seems like a million years!! Just some housekeeping for tomorrow due to COVID and following rules! Everyone is required to wear a mask and sanitize when you can, a COVID Tracking Sheet will also need to have details of everyone who attends. Please be on time for your session as we are following all restrictions and social distancing rules.... If morning group wants to stay and watch afternoon riders, you are more than welcome, however, you'll need to be unsaddled and social distanced (no big groups please) Enter trotting track via Caldows Rd, as front gate is locked Thanks Morning Group: Bridget Kayla Ellen Taylah Tiori Montaya Laura Madalen Tessa Be at Trotting Track by 9.30 to sign all relevant forms before saddling and mounting please You'll be riding 10-12 (1st hour you can play and practice on obstacles, then we'll set a course for you to ride ) Afternoon Group: Pa-lin Rachael Skye Tim Jacqueline Annette Joanne Amy Rebecca Be at Trotting Track by 12.30 to sign all relevant forms before saddling and mounting.
