23.01.2022 Dear Parents Safe and appropriate use of social media is strongly promoted through all sections of the community. With recent events on various social media sites including Tik Tok, can I remind parents that Tik Tok along with many others have age restrictions. (Usually 13) I have attached a link below to a Guide for Parents in relation to Tik Tok. The link comes from the esafety commissioner in Australia. It gives important information regarding age limits and blocking of u...nwanted content. https://support.tiktok.com//privacy-sa/for-parents-default I recommend this website as a support for our students and their families. Yours sincerely Cliff Peachman (Principal)

13.01.2022 Dear Parents and Carers, please understand that the school has been directed to not have parents congregating around school grounds. Please don't park around the top oval or stand at the fence lines while we are trying to complete our athletics. If this occurs we will need to stop the planned events as we cannot be responsible for breaches to the COVID regulations. Thank you for your continued support and understanding.

07.01.2022 Kinchela Boys Home Aboriginal Corporation Incursion Year 5 & 6 Dear Parents and Carers, On Tuesday 1 December 2020, members of The Kinchela Boys Home Aboriginal Corporation will visit our school to share information and their personal experiences of life at the Kinchela Boys Home which operated from 1924 to 1970. For us, this is a local site. However, this knowledge and the experiences of the many displaced boys and their families are now shared with school students across NS...W as part of the bigger story of The Stolen Generation. On Tuesday 1 December 2020 each Year 5 and 6 class will attend the school hall with their class teacher to meet with the program facilitator, Jo Kelly, and speak with the uncles; Uncle Richard Campbell and Uncle Roger Jarrett. During the session, students will view a video animation and participate in a question and answer discussion with the uncles. The animation outlines some typical experiences of children, including these uncles, during their time at the home and mentions some types of abuse that occurred. This interactive incursion provides students with the opportunity to access primary information in relation to the NSW History Syllabus. In particular, this experience allows students to describe and explain the different experiences of people and significant events that have contributed to Australian history. It also allows students to practise historical inquiry skills by investigating perspectives, asking questions and accessing a variety of historical sources. The cost of this incursion will be fully funded by the school for all Year 5/6 students. All Year 5/6 students will attend an incursion session throughout the day. Please advise the class teacher if you do not want your child to attend. Kind regards, Fiona Lewis & Sarah Barrell Relieving Principal RFF History Teacher
