25.01.2022 #IRBTRAINING // The first IRB training for the season has been held this weekend at South West Rocks. It is very fitting to see, with this year being the celebration of 40 years of women in SLS, that the majority of the candidates were female. Once assessed, the club will have two female IRB Drivers, the first in a number of seasons, as well as four more crewies! Such an awesome weekend. Thanks to Ian Everingham, Rod McDonagh and Matt Warrell (from Crescent Head Surf Club) fo...r their training and guidance over the weekend. For those members who were not able to attend this weekend, an additional course will be conducted throughout the season. Watch this space! 24.01.2022 #MENTALHEALTHAWARENESS // Well done to Melinda Pavey for Day 3 of her Walk for Mental Health. Today she walked from Hat Head to South West Rocks along our pristine beaches. Here she is with President, Rod McDonagh, with a donation from the SWRSLSC to BAYLiNS GIFT. Thanks Melinda for dropping in to the South West Rocks SLSC to check out the clubhouse facelift and the construction of the seawall.
