25.01.2022 NEW RULING FOR SERIES After a lengthy deliberation between the four South West Speedway Clubs, the South West Sedan Championship will have some minor changes to the ruling for the 2020/2021 Series. Coming into the new season, there will be a change to the point structure, basing it along the lines of the Collie Racing Drivers Association ruling for their Overall Points.... This season's points will be in a tiered scenario, based on the standard Speedway Sedans Australia points structure, if four or fewer cars nominate for the event, the driver who wins their event will receive 4th place in SSA Points (17 Points) with drivers following downward from there. If five or six drivers nominate, then the winning event driver will start from 3rd place in points (23 Points) while seven or eight nominations will get 2nd placed points (28 Points). This is to help with the dramatic differences that were seen in nominations between divisions last year and to hopefully even out the playing field. Also, a change for this season will see Junior Sedans compete as one category, as New Stars and Top Stars competing as one for all four rounds this season. For more information, please contact the Facebook page. SSA Points Structure: 36, 28, 23, 17, 13, 10, 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 Series Schedule Round One: Make Smoking History Collie Speedway October 24, 2020 Round Two: Tyrepower Manjimup Speedway November 28, 2020 Round Three: Trade Hire Augusta Margret River Speedway March 13, 2021 Round Four: Make Smoking History Bunbury Speedway April 10, 2021 Photo: South West Sedan Championship Street Stock Overall Winner Michael Hamon Photo Credit: Teash Hamon Photography

24.01.2022 SOUTHWEST SEDAN CHAMPIONSHIPS TO RETURN After the success of nearly 100 competitors running in re-return of the South West Sedan Championship with only three of the four rounds being run due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the four clubs that reside in the South West region have agreed to return the series for the 2020/2021 season. The series will continue with the same format and prize pool with both Street Stocks, Production, and Junior Sedans all competing on the same night to f...ight it out to become the South West Sedan Champion. Both Street Stocks and Production Sedans will fight for a minimum $4,000 prize pool paying down to tenth place. This seasons series will run over a larger period with the opening round being held at the opening meeting for the Make Smoking History Collie Speedway, which triples up as the Curly Fishlock Memorial and the grand opening of the second stage of the lighting project the Collie Racing Drivers Association has completed over the offseason. The Series then moves its way down to the Tyrepower Manjimup Speedway for the second round on November 28. After a long time off to capture all the other major Speedway events in the State, the Trade Hire Augusta Margret River Speedway will finally get its chance to host a round of the series on March 13 after missing out due to the pandemic while the final round will be hosted at the Make Smoking History Bunbury Speedway on April 10, just two weeks before hosting the Speedway Sedans Australia Street Stock National Title at the same venue. Coming up in the coming weeks will be a change to the points structure and rules for the 2020/2021 South West Sedan Championship.
