25.01.2022 Our QSL2 Women and QSL2 Men Team B hit the floor today. The men at The Ship vs Phoenix and the women away at Spartans. Both were close games but unfortunately not our day for both teams.

22.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE All basketball activity in the Greater Brisbane Area (Moreton Bay, Brisbane, Ipswich, Redlands and Logan) is suspended while Brisbane’s three-day lockdown is in place. From 6pm tonight until 6pm Monday, people in Greater Brisbane will be required to stay at home except:... to attend work if you can’t work from home; to buy essentials like groceries and medicine; look after the vulnerable; and exercise within their neighbourhood. Masks are to be worn at all times when outside of your place of residence, this includes in workplaces and public transport.

22.01.2022 BQ is pleased to confirm, after consultation with the Queensland Government, that the Under 18 State Championships will proceed on the Gold Coast as per our event COVIDSafe plan. With the tournament taking place outside of Greater Brisbane, the restrictions to spectator numbers will remain the same. Residents from Greater Brisbane are now permitted to travel anywhere in Australia (please note other states and territories may have restrictions in place that prev...ent you from travelling to them). 16.01.2022 It's time for our QSL weekend wrap. Our QSL2 Women had a tough game on Sunday against Spartans at Spartans. The scores were close most of the game but the ladies could just not get it over the line and the win went to Spartans. Our QSL2 Men Team A had a tough one also against Spartans. Theon lit up the scoreboard with 21 points with Zane chipping in 10 but it was not enough with Spartans taking the victory 88 to 68... Our QSL2 Men Team B played the Phoenix on Sunday at The Ship. Dom lit up from the 3 point line hitting 6 three pointers and scoring 26 points. Declan also having a great game with 16 points. Phoenix however still taking the win 87 to 79 in a tight one. Our QSL1 Women put up a good fight against the Seahawks. With our shots just not finding the mark Seahawks came away with the win 65 to 50. Our QSL1 Men had a big win over the Seahawks 90 to 46. With Hodgy taking to the court for the first time this season after injury, he gave us a taste of what's to come. The score difference also gave an opportunity for our younger players to play big minutes giving them some great experience for our future Pirate teams. 16.01.2022 Another round is done and dusted in the QSL. Our QSL2 men's teams had tough games at home. Both teams playing well but missing out on the win. Lachlan Haworth-Brown for our Team A had a great game scoring 25 points while Jacob Zemljic lead the way for Team B with 16 points. Men Team A def by Capitals 92 to 74... Men Team B def by Thunder 71 to 50 Our QSL2 women had a bye. Our QSL1 women hampered by injury and sickness, couldn't stop Northside's Courtney Woods and Stephanie Reid scoring 46 points in their 82 to 69 win against the Pirates. Bree Farley produced a double double with 16 points and 11 rebounds leading the way in true captains form. Max Kerle and Tanner Krebs lead the way for our QSL1 men's team. Max scoring 32 points with 7 from 10 from the 3 point line shot the lights out and chipping in 7 rebounds. Tanner with a double double scored 23 points with 10 assists! Although Northside always kept within striking distance our men got the win 93 to 82. The men are currently sitting in 6th position. The top six going through to finals starting in a few weeks. We have two more tough games playing Redlands next weekend (currently undefeated) and Phoenix who are one spot ahead of us in 5th. Both games are away so get out and support our teams if you can!

09.01.2022 Another big day at U16 State Champs with quarter & semi finals happening. Tomorrow is the last day with Finals happening for all divisions. We have two teams who are playing for medals tomorrow. Our Purple boys will be playing in the bronze medal game for Div 2 and our Red boys will be also playing in the bronze medal game for Div 4.
