25.01.2022 Got itchy feet, a chance to get back on the water earlier

25.01.2022 Sailing is back at Largs this Saturday 27 June 2020 if anyone is ready to brave the cold. Last week's first winter series race was postponed to this week due to the weather. Several short races starting 1pm.

24.01.2022 Confirming dates for the 62nd Heron Nationals: The regatta will be held from Saturday 8 - Saturday 15 January 2022 at Largs Bay SC, South Australia.

17.01.2022 Plans are in hand to run the 56th SA State Heron Championship in conjunction with the SA Summer of Sail regatta at Largs Bay SC on 7-10 January 2021. 11.01.2022 9150 Bandit has surfaced, for sale in Semaphore South. Timber, side tanks, John Clifton sails in good condition. Top and interior a little weathered but not too bad. Gunter rig with alloy mast and boom. Travis bought the boat for the trailer and now wants the boat and beach trolley to go to a good home. Advertised for $550 but will take an offer. 11.01.2022 Robert and Laura brought newly purchased 7290 (originally Naturi) around for a rigging demonstration today. With a replacement mast and a few other bits and bobs, she is ready to resume her sailing career. Check the beautiful original Tasker sails that were lurking in a bag in the bottom!

07.01.2022 Just off the press - unfortunately, we have had to postpone the 62nd Nationals planned for 9-16 January 2021 at Largs Bay SC in SA. Continuing uncertainty surrounding border closures and quarantine requirements have made this decision inevitable. The Herons join along list of other classes that have already cancelled nationals for next season. The good news is that we have booked Largs for the same dates in January 2022. Hopefully, the situation will have improved by then and we will be able to get together again. Other planned National regattas e.g. 57th Nationals in Canberra 2022 will now be pushed out one year. For SA Heroners, note that we are planning to sail the 56th States at a Down Under Sailing regatta to be held at LBSC around 7-10 January 2021

02.01.2022 The Notice of Race for the 56th SA State Heron Championship regatta has now been released. The regatta will be held from 7-9 January 2021 at Largs Bay SC, with 10 January as a reserve day.
