16.01.2022 Our Certificate III in Community Services - V1.18 group promoting their White Ribbon DVAC event aimed at the prevention of Domestic Violence Against Children. SALC Community Services students worked diligently with Community Services Trainer Steve Wadsworth to create a registered White Ribbon Event held on the 27th September 2018 at the Elizabeth Shopping Centre. The CHC32015 Certificate III in Community Services.... Students planned, conducted and evaluated the entire event from its conception to actualisation on the day. The students took responsibility for petty cash, created the DVAC table cover and front drop and researched and produced the information trifold flyer. Students also made service visits to local organisations promoting the event and gathering promotional material. SAPOL’s Community Participation officers Kylie and Alisha were a big part of the event providing the White Ribbon Banner and working alongside the students to engage shoppers and give away SAPOL merchandise. SALC’s Lead Trainer Susan Johnson provided support on the day and became the events official photographer. Over 250 DVAC flyers were given out.
